Cook Out — Restaurant in Charlotte

I recently transferred to Charlotte from Miami with my job. My new co-workers advised me that Cookout was absolutely one of the places I must go to. Funny how no one mentioned the food. They overwhelming recommended the milkshakes. Tonight, I had a fast food craving. I used a Lyft to visit your restaurant, the round trip cost was quoted at $10.60. I arrived, ordered with help from the cashier. Five minutes, I received my milkshake. I was sure my food would soon follow. Ten minutes later, no food. I waved the cashier and asked how much longer do I need to wait, she told me the food should be ready in ten minutes, I told her I've already waited fifteen minutes, she told me she would get the manager for me. During this time a car pulled up behind the menu next to the back door.. The back door opened and two employees came outside carrying food and one of the passengers from inside the car went inside. I spoke to the manager and he directed me to call an 800 number to talk about my experience. Thirty minutes after placing my order, I received a lukewarm, charred, dry, hockey puck of a burger with an entire slice of onion, wilted lettuce, and tomato. I literally had only four onion rings (I guess they thought they had already given me enough onions on my burger) and wimpy fries. I really wish that I had taken heed from the reviews on Google. Not only did I throw money away on food I couldn't eat, the wait doubled my fare...

If you’re in need of a place to hit up as you’re leaving the bar and you need the perfect, greasy, cheesy, American delicacy to hit just the spot, then look no further as this is THE MFIN SPOT!!! So what about the guy asking for money?? Roll up your window on him and the workers understand! I’ve seen him get ran off the property SEVERAL times but it never fails, he’s always right there 🫶🏼 Regardless of him, the employees listen to what you want and they give you just that! Never have to check the bag before pulling away because they have always had my order right, ask about sauces at the window, and ensured I was stocked with napkins until our final days here on Earth. But that was a EXQUISITE cheeseburger, DEVINE cheese bites, SCRUMPTIOUS corn dog, and HEAVENLY sweet tea to wash it all down. So first off, I don't write a lot of reviews unless I really feel like I need to. This location is bad, the management is terrible, if it's owned by corporate or a franchisee, it's absolutely terrible. Now the food is not bad, in my opinion it's on par with other locations.... IN MY EXPERIENCE. But I was charged for mine and someone else's order. When I when back to the location and showed them proof, the manager stated that she CAN'T make it right, because what if my bank refunds me. I said that's not her concern, but mine, because what if my bank doesn't, she told me to call corporate. I called corporate for a week and left voice-mails but no reply. I was on the verge of filing a complaint through the BBB. Long story, they took $35.78 from me and my bank wont refund me via a dispute. I am highly annoyed and the management still did refuses to make it right. Avoid this location if possible let it close or be shut down for someone else...
