Me and my friends visited this location having being in Charlotte for the first time. When we got there, it was around lunch time. So, we anticipated there'd be a wait time. We were initially told it'd be 30-45 minutes, so we reluctantly waited. When we finally got the text that our table was ready, we approached the host stand and the host immediately asked us to follow her to one of the outside tables. No one ever asked if we wanted to sit inside because quite frankly, we would've preferred to do so. It was extremely too hot to be sitting outside and the area where the tables were located were barely shaded with umbrellas. Underneath the umbrellas, though, was where the sun was beaming straight down on us. We didn't complain though as we were understanding that they were busy. The service, though, was the most unpleasant thing about visit. Even after sitting down at our table, it took our server almost 30 minutes to come and greet us, even though we'd seen her walking back and forth helping other tables. Myself and my 3 other friends again were understanding that it was slightly busy, but we also are a group of friends who currently serve in restaurants or have at some point. So, we didn't appreciate having to wait so long to even get drinks with it being so hot. At the least, we felt as though we could've been greeted with a "Hi guys! Bare with me a moment while I..." But, it never happened. We waited so long that we had to ask another employee (we couldn't tell if she was a server or a host) where our server was or if we even had one. She was friendly and offered to bring us waters while we continued to wait for our server to greet us. The table hadn't been wiped off, there was sticky stuff everywhere and I killed at least 6 ants crawling on me before our drinks came out. When our server FINALLY greeted us, she explained that she had gotten several tables at once, which caused the delay. It was still rude that she'd not even acknowledged us. Once she got our actual drink orders, they came out pretty quickly. Two of us ordered sprites and 2 of us ordered cokes. The drinks were watered down, but we didn't complain because we'd waited so long that we were happy to even have cups sitting in front of us. Also, our server didn't follow up with us. So, we didn't really have the chance to tell her about the drinks. When the food came out, it was great, actually the most pleasant part about our visit. And when we were finished and it was time for our server to issue out our bill, that took another 20 minutes. And when we placed our credit cards in the bill fold with the bill, it took her another 20 minutes to come and get them. I'm not certain if this location needs new servers or someone who can show the current ones how to flip tables faster. But, the...

The wait upon arrival to the restaurant for a table was as mentioned by the initial host. We were provided a wait time of 30 minutes and received a table exactly at the 30 minute mark via text message.
The tables were in very close proximity to neighboring tables therefore if you were sitting on the side of the table with the booth type seating you had to be very careful to get to your seat without accidentally knocking over one of your neighboring tables drinks, etc. Also when neighboring tables would leave and the bus girl would spray the tables down, mist from the spray would get on your table.
The waitress that took our order was very kind. She immediately brought out water and took our drink orders first. We were originally going to get a Mimosa Flight but then she recommended to us that during the week days full-sized Mimosa's are half off. Once we ordered our drinks and food it was all quickly brought out to us.
The scrambled eggs were buttery, soft and not too cheesy while also still being warm. The pancakes, grits and regular bacon were overall amazing and as expected! The orange juice mimosa was very pungent and not as good as the hawaiian mimosa. The home fries were perfectly seasoned and had soft insides with mildly crunchy outsides. The candied bacon was sweet while also having a hint of spicy. The french toast lacked in taste overall. The stuffed middle portion was practically tasteless. The only thing you could taste when concerning the french toast was the fruit topping. The bacon pieces on the top were also practically tasteless.
Sadly, our second order of candied bacon came out with plastic in it but the waitress kindly removed it from the bill due to this issue which was no fault to her own.
The ambiance was crowded and very cold in temperature since the space is so small and people were walking in the door every few minutes causing a draft to wave over the tables every time the door was opened. The restaurant did have some aesthetically pleasing aspects but simultaneously some aesthetic flaws as well. Our table top had paint chipping off which would snag on our shirt sleeves while trying to eat.
The price for everything...
Read moreI'll start with our food was fantastic. They had a neat arrangement of all kinds of unique twists on morning comfort foods and some unique things that I would never have thought to try. However, I'm not sure how many more times I will go back. This is because and granted it was a Sunday morning so I tend to know that breakfast places around me are very busy at this time but we did have to wait over an hour. And then initially grateful that we got to sit inside as it was quite warm the day we went. However, the inside was very hectic. They have a huge bar area and then a few booths and a couple other tables thrown in and it was a bit. It was chaotic between the staff having to go outside to help out because the extra seating is out front and handling the inside as well. Not to mention that they have Birthday music that plays for birthdays which is quite cute And adds to the overall volume.
My overall feel when we got inside and were seated. I then felt like we were rushed. I had waited over an hour to get into the seat,, And then we then we felt like we were rushed to order. Got our food, then our server rushed to give us the checks, just a kind of rushed feeling overall. Which I absolutely can't stand, not that we are excessively slow. However, when there's lots of chaos, it was really hard for us to focus on the menu and making a decision.
The decor was quite upscale and really cute and trendy. Loved the decor, really wish that they had a different location for their restaurant and parking. I really feel like they would do better in like a Ballantyne location or even like Rock Hill fort Mill, a place where they have a larger restaurant. I think if they had a more spacious feel and a calmer environment, their food which is really the star of the show could really shine.
My friends and I also noticed that there was a disconnect between maybe management and the servers or communication amongst the servers and noticed a few frustrative moves by servers, putting plates down or complaining about different things or just talking. Overall my experience was not easy like Sunday, We go to lots of different places to do brunch and we want to try something new. I really enjoyed my food by itself. However, not sure I'll go back with the overall experience and the tight parking and busy too busy environment etc.
I may have to try them on a non Sunday morning to see if it could be Easy like...
