Update: 4 Star becomes 1 star
LYNN our waitress was rude and disrespectful when asked if our food should be removed from our ticket when we waited over 30 min for the food AFTER our orders had come. I asked to see management and was informed he left for the day. The food was inconsistent a d we ordered the same items. They forgot the wings and fries and were given excuses. I don't know what happened from last visit til now... but THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!!!! She LYNN then ignored me while I calmly tried to address the problem. It sucks that this was the spot chosen to celebrate my niece's graduation. DO BETTER LYNN The popcorn shrimp was actually BUTTERFLY shrimp, the zucchini fries were cooked different... the dumplings left something to be desired.
Lynn also took my picture. The funny part is I never planned to take her image... but glad I did. Good to know she is SO CONCERNED with my image but not the service she provides. Times the 4 Starz by 4... (2 sister , my niece & I) Came here for my nieces bday and I (we) were not disappointed. The sesame Ginger salad was A+! I added the honey dijon from the Shrimp appetizer (forgive me the names I can't spell lol may update later! ) omg!!! The flavors are bold but not overbearing. The Garlic parm fries were crispy & tasty. Literally heard the crunch. The shrimp appetizer was delightfully tasty!!! I wish it had more! Random but we loved the dishes and how everything was served. The waitress & hostess were very friendly. Jodi was on receipt... the zucchini fries were crispy and equally delicious. The edamame was my fav... idk why I love them but it was just enough salt! Drinks were always full. The beef/ribeye dish my sis had was good... but with her having an allergy to onions it lost flavor in her opinion...the bone in wings were crispy and sauced nicely. The boneless wings were the same HOWEVER not as spicy as some reviews claimed. My neice enjoyed them. The pickled radish was tasty too. My chicken for the salad was nicely prepared. I actually liked the portions of everything. The fries also were not greasy... my niece loved the fried octopus dumpling dish... I think the inside was not the best texture I would want to try. Think of a hard hush puppy with soggy cornbread inside...and octopus... topped with Benito flakes...SHE LOVED IT. So for my fellow texture folks lol dont order that! In all it was a warm atmosphere... everyone had masks coming in but we all sat fairly close bc the space isnt huge. To get to the venue you have to go on a maze hunt lol...I didn't like the stairs thing... like it's in a cut... but there is an elevator. Families, couples and groups came and enjoyed. It also didn't take food long to arrive once ordered. The 4 stars was for the lack of flavor and texture... otherwise we all will return! Sidenote: the waitress/hostess brought us all to go cups which was very thoughtful and spoke of enjoying our energy we liked hers as well!! Keep up the great work. DEFINITELY A Great way to celebrate her bday.
PS. Read recent reviews bc the menu prices are higher now and calamari isnt an option...
Read moreI had lunch at this location on a Saturday afternoon, didn’t have to wait long at all, even during lunchtime. They seemed busy with call-in orders, but dine-in service was still great, very quick, friendly and helpful. Received lots of informative recommendations from our server, which really helped narrow down my choices since everything on the menu sounded good.
I had shrimp shumai, and some chicken wings to start, which could have been my entire meal. Generous serving of the shumai, and the wings were nice and big. Not a big seafood person, but I enjoyed the flavor of the shumai, each piece was perfectly bite sized and had just enough sauce drizzled on top. For the wings, I specifically ordered the chicken combo, which is half drums, half wings. I also split the sauce, half Soy Garlic and Half Korean BBQ. Both were delicious, loved the slight spice on the Korean BBQ, but will probably go hotter next time and get full spicy. I would honestly come back just for the wings. They were so crisp on the outside, even with the sauce on, fried perfectly. If you’re someone who prefers your wings “fried hard”, these are the wings for you. Just order them as they are, and you won’t be disappointed. They’re crispy and crunchy on the outside, tender on inside. Not tough at all, and definitely not dry.
For my main I had the Bulgogi Bibimbap. Again, generous portion of food, wasn’t able to finish it all, and took the rest home with me. The beef was tender and flavorful, the veggies and rice were fresh and hot. It came with a side of sauce that was spicy, forgot to ask what it was called, but it added a nice touch of heat to the meal.
Finished off my visit with some Korean donuts. They came out hot and freshly fried, so I let them cool for a couple minutes before taking a bite. The first bite was such a pleasant surprise, soft and fluffy, just slightly sweet. They came with a side of glaze/frosting that added some additional sweetness, but not too much. Once again, good portion size, could only finish half of one donut and took the rest home to snack on later.
Overall, had a great experience here. This location is in the ParkTowne Village shopping mall, can be easy to miss as you’re driving around the complex, but once you park there’s plenty of signage pointing the way. I will definitely be back for wings and donuts, but also to try anything I couldn’t fit in my stomach...
Read moreMy friend and I were really excited to try this place. It definitely has potential but didn't really live up to our level of excitement. Our server was really nice and very attentive. We both ordered the Korean fried chicken. I ordered the small combo (wings & drumsticks), half spicy, half sweet crunch which came with a complimentary side of pickled radishes. I also ordered the seasoned fries. The fries arrived first. They were good, but they were moreso parmesan cheese fries than they were seasoned. The chicken arrived about 5 minutes later. It was visibly hot and the skin looked very crispy even though it was coated in sauce. I was told that the spicy chicken was extremely spicy so I took a bite of a spicy drumstick first, keeping my water nearby. I thought that maybe I misunderstood which flavor was which because it was very sweet with no heat, so I try what I thought was sweet crunch which was all crunch...no sweet. Under the skin the chicken itself was pretty bland and would have benefited greatly from a nice 24 hour brine or marinade. The pickled radishes were basic, white cubes in appearance but were pretty flavorful and the actual highlight of my meal. Overall I was pretty underwhelmed. So much so, I didn't bother to take any pictures. If I ever go back, I'll avoid the fried chicken all together and see how the more traditional Korean fare is...like the bulgogi or...
