Firehouse Subs South Blvd. — Restaurant in Charlotte

UPDATE 6/23/2025 I purchased a Firehouse gift card for my father a few months ago. Today, he decided to use it at this location. The gift card failed to work on several attempts. The manager unhappily came to assist and was not helpful. In fact, the manager deleted the entire order despite my father still wanting to order and pay cash. The cashier had to reenter the order.

Had the manager taken the time to check the card, he/she would seen there was a balance. THERE IS ALWAYS A SOLUTION. Even if it means, comping the meal, discounting the meal, providing a customer service number, or even saying "I'm sorry, I can't resolve this" with a smile. Disregarding a customer's concern is not it and shouldn't be tolerated.

I avoid this location at all cost but unfortunately it is most convenient for my parents. The customer service phone number is a joke and only plays a recording. The gift card still has a balance but due to the company's faulty system and unhelpful store management, the issue is unresolved. Beware this company will gladly take your money even if you have no product. I'd like for this issue to be resolved but that may be setting the bar too high for this company. If I could rate zero stars I would.

Older Post: I came into this Firehouse location today and was disappointed to say the least. One of the employees must have just been fired because she yells out “How are they going to fire me.” I’m trying to place my order and had to repeat it several times because of the workplace drama. Long story short, my order was fixed incorrectly. I informed the lady at the register. She asked the guy to make the sandwiches over and he says “I guess I have to.” Once the sandwiches were prepared again, they were still made incorrectly. At this point I just left. I hate that my order wasn’t prepared...

I previously had firehouse subs at a business lunch and it was delicious. I found out Firehouse Subs was doing a 50% deal after 6 pm.

I went here and they said u can only get the deal by ordering online or by the app. I tried online several times (didn’t want to download an app I’m never using again). It didn’t work, they were unfamiliar and they wouldn’t just key it in. This was probably 10-20 minutes. The one girl did try to help but she was not familiar with it and the other two staff didn’t care or try to help.

Then I buckled and got the app- we were hungry and i was getting frustrated at this point. Finally it worked- probably like 40 min later which is absolutely ridiculous- why advertise something can be done online and it’s not possible without the app. I was signed in and everything and the staff looked at it multiple times.

Once I ordered, our orders were not right (but we figured it out after we left) and it’s not close-by or a part of town we frequent. Part of order that was wrong was some substitutions for my kids- sub banana peppers for jalapeños - the jalapeño was removed but no banana peppers. I also did an up-charge to add more veggies like black olives and more cheese- those were not included.

It did not cure my nostalgia but it did fill my appetite. I will not be back. It was my kids first time at this chain and both of us were...

Delicious food, family friendly, amazing staff! My wife was shopping next door at TJ Maxx so I figured I would go to a quick place for a cookie with the kids to keep them busy. We were going to go to Arby's but they were closed...and I'm glad they were. Upon entering Firehouse, they welcomed us with "Welcome to Firehouse"!

My 2 year old and 3.5 year old were then immediatly greeted by the staff with a wave and then with Firemen hats??!! I was initially just going for a cookie, but after seeing the sign for the limited time Firehouse Pub Steak, I had to try it, and I'm happy I did. The steak was very well seasoned, the hoagie was toasty on the outside and soft on the inside, almost like a Primo Hoagie in Pennsylvania! The beer cheese sauce was delicious and the fried onions were just the right amount of crispy.

The staff came over multiple times to talk with the kids, which they loved, and they were extremely good with the kids, which can be difficult when you go to a restaurant by yourself with two little ones.

Overall the food was great, the restaurant was clean and the staff was very accommodating to everyone, especially those with kids. I will...
