Experience/Atmosphere: I had a wonderful time for an after-work happy hour. Upbeat environment, TVs on different sports as background, open garage doors for easy outdoor seating access (made it hot though, I definitely want to wait until Fall to go back), and a décor combination of industrial, modern, and vintage. TIP: Carpool if you can!! It was very busy and while there is parking in the front and back and some street parking, it still fills up quickly. It took 30+ min for some of our group to find parking. Not the restaurant's fault, but plan accordingly. Being busy also meant it was loud. Which is not a problem for me, but be aware: if you like quiet, intimate places, this isn't the spot for you. Bathrooms were clean, well stocked, and ADORABLE!
Food: My caprice chicken sandwich was absolutely amazing. Sides don't come with the meal, so don't be afraid to get an appetizer too if you're hungry enough. While I overall enjoyed the hush puppies, they were slightly dryer/cooked longer than I typically like. They're also labeled "sweet", but I wouldn't give them that descriptor. Our group did NOT like the sauce paired with it (sweet cinnamon sauce that tasted like it should be paired with sweet potato fries instead). Other people in the group loved the garlic knots and fried pickles.
Drinks: I had the frozen tequila drink, which was strong enough that you can taste the tequila and honestly you'll only need one to legally drive home. The rest of the group who got mixed drinks did notice their drinks were not that strong. They don't carry ginger beer; their Moscow Mules are pre-mixed so they can't make specialty mules like Scottish/Mexican/Kentucky. The price difference between house liquor and anything else is a noticeable difference.
Restaurant structure: you have to go to different locations for different options. Hot dogs are from a cute street vendor type cart in one corner, the bar is one whole wall, the line for most food is on the far right side of the bar, and the pizza kitchen is out back. But they bring you the food (they use CD's as table numbers! how awesome!) and clean the table for you. They just don't take the orders from your table. I think there is another smaller bar out back, but I didn't look/explore.
I will go again, will wait until it's not the heat of the summer, and will try and...

Read moreI’ve been to Goldie’s twice and had 2 completely different experiences. The first time was a Sunday and there was live music and it was packed and super loud. I also had my dog with me. It was also raining. We had one of their slushy drinks and left bc we couldn’t find a seat. The music and ambiance were great but wasn’t in the mood for that experience. The 2nd time was much better for me. I made sure to look at the schedule and go after the live music. It was much less crowded and was able to talk to my bf. I also didn’t bring the dog but both of their patios are dog friendly. We had such a great time. They have a great beer, cocktail and wine selection and fantastic, friendly service. We also ordered so many food items. I can honestly say, everything was delicious. We had the wrecking ball sandwich, waffle fries, the Buffalo cauliflower, the hushpuppies and the fried Oreos. The highlight were the 2 hot dogs we had- the Mac attack and nothing but a hound dog! The taste on both were delicious and a great combo of toppings. Might have been the best hot dogs I’ve had. We loved the fries- crispy and seasoned well. The Buffalo cauliflower had a slight kick and were crunchy. The hushpuppies were soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. The sandwich was also a great combo with great bread. Loved the Oreos too. My only negative is that you had to pay for everything separately- the drinks, the dogs and the food. I liked that it wasn’t too crowded but I’m sure someone would prefer it being busy. It was also super clean!! I can’t wait...
