Everything I've heard made me want to check this place out. I mean come on...Mexican with a drive through. Brilliant! We had a Groupon so we had to dine in. That created a high class problem however. The food was so inexpensive that I we had to struggle to use the entire $20. My wife wanted all wings but they unfortunately have the servings pre-made and don't allow substitutions. No big deal. They do however allow you to mix and match between their Citrus grilled chicken and fried chicken. We wanted rice but unfortunately there were out but the upside was that the up-charge for the signature size was only $0.30. We paid less than $10 for our $20 Groupon and only ended up paying $2 afterwards. That's great because I had some food leftover to take home. I had a three piece breast and wing combo but it only comes with one side. Additional sides are very inexpensive however. I got the Yuca fries and sweet plantains. It did take forever to come but In fairness they did say that the grilled chicken would be another 10 minutes. I was however surprised when they stop by the table to say that the fried chicken would also be an additional five minutes when we had already been waiting for about 20 minutes. It was well worth the wait though. Aside from soft drink beverages they have what they call fresh drinks and the options are guava, Jamaica (fruit punch) and Horchata which is a traditional cinnamon and not Mexican drink. It's milky creamy and delicious. It was my first time having it but I really enjoyed it.

It so much wants to be 5-stars but let me point out what lost the star: 1) No sweet tea (or any tea period). A cardinal sin in the South. 2) Something is missing from the sides. I had the coleslaw (good) and the street corn salad (bland and I wouldn't order again). My dining companion had french fries (arrived already cool, obviously having been sitting a while - please restaurants, battered fries do not give you permission to hold them!! cook them fresh!) and campero beans (good but more like soup than beans). The dinner rolls are a complete throw-away. I don't want a Merita heat-and-serve roll with my meal. 3) The chicken itself had good flavor but the individual pieces were on the small side for the price paid. If I hadn't gotten the 4-piece half-chicken, I would have still been hungry. The lime wedges which came with my grilled chicken would have been considered skimpy at a bar. At a restaurant where they are part of the flavor of the dish, they were a sin. Pros: The staff were attentive and all were fairly bi-lingual. Everything seemed to be clean and in good order. There were no outages. The chicken had a good flavor.

I am down-grading my previous review. Prices have gone up and quality down from last year. Fried chicken is still good but sides not too appetizing. Corn salad used to be fresh and very tasty. Now has mostly canned corn and the rest is mush—hardly any greens, the few bits visible were wilted like creamed spinach. The dish no longer has fresh cherry tomatoes nor the pumpkin seed kernels. The sautéed plaintains had a lot of oil at the bottom of container and the fiesta rice was dry, gray, more canned corn and no flavor. About a month ago, our order of 3 empanadas, which was one of our favorites, was all under-cooked with raw pastry dough in the middle. They no longer make bowls or the green sauce, both were really good. 80 cents was added to my family meal—not sure why. The highlight was the counter staff, very friendly ladies today.

I came in waited 30 minutes for my order that cost $60.00. We took our Empanadas out and started to eat them in the car and thats when i realized almost all sides were not in the bag and it was missing a whole dinner. Ok people make mistakes I go back first thing I said is we ate Empanadas and discovered our food is missing. Instead of immediately fixing my order the staff argues in Spanish about whether I'm lying and that they gave me my order complete. I do work in a restaurant and I do work with Hispanics people, I could understand some of the things they said. Finally after 45 minutes after I ordered taking everything out of the bag opening every box they decided to give me the food they missed and tried to put the same boxes of cold chicken I just pulled out and had everyone looking in back!!! Now almost an hr after I ordered And they still kept asking me where were the Empanadas!!!! I told you we ate those lady!!! I DIDNT ASK YOU TO REPLACE THEM EVEN THOUGH THEY SHOULDVE since I was so inconvenienced. I was so frustrated 😠 they would not have treated us like trash or liars if we were a Hispanic family. I tell her while we were waiting for our food we bought a $100.00 worth of jewelry from a wonderful woman who was selling it in the dining area. Who they all knew because she comes there regularly. WE DONT NEED TO LIE TO GET FREE FOOD WE JUST WANTED WHAT WE PAID FOR TO BE RIGHT! I WILL NEVER COME BACK TO THIS LOCATION AGAIN. UNLESS ITS TO BUY JEWELRY! VERY DISSAPONTED IN THE STAFF CUSTOMER SERVICE. I don't deserve the...

When I went in I was ready to eat but when I went up to the register was ready to pay. They told me that Cash only because their system was down, but whenever they have put a paper or sign that their system was down and cash only. So I have to go to my bank to get some cash luckily, there was one in front of me at the side of the street when I came back and order my food I went to the restroom. My sister-in-law was with me and I came back. Her food was already at the table when I had already Paid first before. And I was waiting about 15 minutes until the server came installed. I have nothing on my table. And she asked me if I had been certain I told her no I went up to her with her. I told older ladies what was going on where was my food? I was been waiting with my child now we was hungry and we can three hours away. They both stare at me and also the manager Was staring at me Dead heart. And I didn’t like that, knowing that she’s the manager, she didn’t do anything about it.She just looked at me with a glance eye. And the cashier also looked at me. They just stood there doing nothing while the server was doing all the work by herself. This was Friday 1 of August. Around 12 lunchtime please have a talk with her and let them know to put a sign next time their system goes down I would like a refund I was not having a good time. I had already wasted my money because I was about to go...
