I went to this establishment by accident tonight; I had gotten the name of the wrong restaurant from my daughter. I called first to make sure they were still serving churros. The man who answered the phone was polite, professional, and had a cheery, upbeat voice an hour before closing. Once I arrived to the location, I loved the fact they had great signage which could be seen from across the parking lot. The restaurant is dark and has a bar located at the front entrance. I walked to the back because there was no one at the bar to greet me. The guys in the back acknowledged me and took my order immediately. There were very few other patrons, but maybe that should've been expected on a Wednesday night.
Now the churros: They were awful!!! First, they were served hot, fried very dark and very lightly sugared with minimal cinnamon; however, they were soft to the touch, delicate, and the texture was light and fluffy. Weird, because they looked burnt. Finally, the orange taste was NOT good and the sauce was thin and uncomplimentary.
If you know anything about churros like the ones they used to sell at Six Flags Magic Mountain back in the day, you know churros are made with cinnamon and sugared proportionately. I'm from the Los Angeles area and know a thing or two about Mexican food. Unfortunately, I didn't smell any of those wonderful flavors upon entering and I'm extremely disappointed with this rendition of a churro. My recommendation to this place is to drop the orange flavor ASAP, add cinnamon to the dough instead, don't over-fry, and finish by rolling/tossing hot churros in cinnamon-sugar so it's caught down deep in...
Read morenever had i experienced someone be so prejudice against me and my workers for being latino...... from another latino, in a "latino based" restaurant.... One Saturday afternoon I took my wife and my crew out for lunch and everything seemed off since we even walked through the door, a couple walked in behind us and for some reason we were completely ignored, they got sat first completely missing the fact the we were there first. I didn't think much of it until we started noticing the service difference . we were really thrown off by this guys attitude towards us. we ordered our drinks and food , and everything was good. My wife, later got up to go look at the beers at the bar, no one even came near her to ask if she needed anything, as the staff were cornered at a table laughing away. My wife later heard that one man wearing glasses tell the server to go check on the "chundos" and the "chundos wife, not knowing my wife spoke spanish. he proceeded to tell someone that he didn't know why piojos" like us didn't just go to tacos stands, that pretty much we were making "his" restaurant look bad, not sure if he said that because of the way we were dressed in our construction clothes. we didn't say a word due to the fact that if we had asked to speak to the manager, the guy disrespecting us was...

First: I tried calling to place a takeout order but was told they don't take orders over the phone, you have to use one of the apps. Weird that I was talking to someone already but I'm sure they have their reasons.
I ended up placing pickup order on Uber Eats (no extra charges fortunately) with an estimated pickup time of 10-20 minutes. Not wanting to wait long at the place I arrived 20 minutes later.
Second: My food wasn't ready for an additional 18 minutes after my arrival despite the uber eats app telling me my order was ready -- just two minutes before I was resigned to leave and find another place to eat.
Third: While waiting, I had to deal with the restaurant's problematic "waiting area" partly standing next to seated bar patrons and partly blocking the front entrance that waitstaff were using to service customers outside. During my wait I was "lucky" enough to have waitstaff drop some refried beans on me -- something I don't blame them at all for, I'm sure they HATE avoiding people who are waiting in that area -- there has to be a better way.
The food is quite good, so at least there's that. Please fix...
