A must-visit hidden gem for Indian food lovers in Charlotte!

We recently checked out Soma Bistro and were absolutely blown away — this place brings all the nostalgic vibes of Indian cafés with a modern, flavorful twist! From the first bite to the last sip, everything was perfection.

We tried a variety of dishes:

Dahi Puri

Samosa Chaat

Paneer Angara

Soma Special Cauliflower

Masala Dosa

Tandoori Paneer Pizza (our top favorite — bursting with flavor!)

Mango Lassi, Kesar Almond Milk, Thums Up, and Limca

Their Apricot Dessert is an absolute must-try — we’re still dreaming about it!

The vibe was cozy and inviting, the service was incredibly warm and attentive, and the food… chef’s kiss 💯🔥

Bonus: They also serve desi breakfast and offer catering — perfect for parties, poojas, or weekend cravings.

Charlotte foodies — do not sleep on this spot! Soma Bistro is the desi bistro the Queen City didn’t know it needed. 🙌

I placed an Uber Eats order with Soma Bistro on 08/17 and they forgot to include one of the pastry items - not once, but twice (separate events). When my husband called to let them know following the second incident, instead of apologizing or trying to help, the female associate rudely told us, “oh maybe the Uber driver must have stolen it, I put that pastry with my hands in your bag.”

Not only is that an unprofessional response, but it also unfairly blames an innocent delivery driver without any proof. When we asked for camera footage to verify, they refused. Mistakes can happen, but the complete lack of accountability and dismissive attitude shows how little they care about their customers.

If this is how Soma Bistro treats people (with egoistic and unapologetic behavior) I honestly don’t see them lasting long. Train your employees to serve better and please don’t rip your customers.
