So to be advised this one start rating is not for the facility It is for the entire organization that is the IRS why would you all purposefully I don't necessarily know if it's a racial thing or if it's due to the election or if it's some sort of underlining extortion that you're trying to do with people that are minority or of color but it's not okay for you all to prolong whatever it is that you may need from us such as paycheck stubs W2 copies etc why is it that you all get to wait months to inform us on anything that you all need but when it's time for us to file our taxes we're giving you all of our information and definitely risking scam risking potential theft of our personal information being leaked This is not okay I filed my taxes on the 5th of February I received confirmation from the The TurboTax app telling me that my return had been accepted and the anticipated date is the 26th of February Not only was I on the call for 3 hours in between representatives trying to get this maneuvering situated just to be told that I need to send them every copy of my W-2 tax paycheck stubs from every last job that I worked of last year because it was something that they recently started doing this year The way that I am looking at it 1 million percent is that a lot of minorities and people of color descent no longer wish to participate in anything that is considered a W-2 position, honestly we would rather be 1099 associates because going to work to make the paycheck to take care of our families just to be talked to like we are incompetent or illiterate or incoherent at all That's a problem! It needs to be some severe restructuralizing I do not give a damn about the color I've been brown since I've been born and I intend to stay this color, Again I don't necessarily know why it is that you all have decided 2023 is the perfect year to throw in hidden loopholes and reverse cards for your consumers filing their tax returns and it's mostly 1099 associates It's not really W2 associates, Please tell me I'm not the only one that's been having this issue This is beyond frustrating I will comply but I promise you this will be the last year I will be denouncing! It's really not...
Read moreAfter reading all the horrible reviews, I was skeptical going in there.
First of all, the place is not walk in, you need to take appointment by calling the number on IRS website.
I was given a 10AM appointment for today, I showed up 30minutes early as its a federal building and I need to go through the security checks.
Once seated, I was told that my appointment is actually at 10:30AM but the lady helped me to an officer right away where you have really good privacy. The officer was very courteous and professional, told me the entire conversation will be recorded for quality purposes, I can request not to record but I asked him to continue recording.
He also gave me a feedback form to fill in and asked me if I have any questions on the form. Once I said No, its all good, he moved to the actual reason I am there.
The Officer was very courteous, listened to my entire story as I was there to get a TIN for my daughter. He explained the process and verified all the documents . He was so professional that he told me, he will be running around making some copies of the documents but he is still working on my application. After 20minutes, all done. He gave me the confirmation document and read it loud for me and asked me if I had any questions.
He answered all my questions and I thanked him for the wonderful service he gave me. I got out of the cubicle and borrowed a pencil from the reception and gave a 5/5 rating for all the questions on the feedback form and deposited it inside the box kept for it as its anonymous.
All together, great service, I thanked all the employees there and the security staff.
From what I learned, if you show up early, have all the supporting documents and be courteous and professional to the employees there, you will get the same service.
PS: There is a lot of parking around the building, so no need to Uber thinking they dont have enough parking.
Thanks to the entire staff for making my life easier and bring a smile to my...
Read moreThe Charlotte office is in need of more staffing and a proactive supervisor for the check-in process. I liked the group better when it was located on Albemarle Rd. Offices and workers were more visible and thus it was apparent if staffing resources were being utilized correctly. The Security Guards at the new location (David Taylor Dr) should NOT be involved in any tax questions, issues or appointments - only with entrance and security. Officers are helping clients with computer logins, number assignments, "Why are you here?" etc., for which they are not qualified. There is not sufficient seating or resources for this location, especially given that it is allocated to the entire Charlotte market area. Charlotte deserves better, pays enough taxes to demand better and needs to be heard on this issue. Our local IRS office should be state-of-art as it serves a very large, economically...
