SoooooTook my son out for a celebration dinner at Steak n Shake off Sardis Rd Charlotte NC.My son found a hair in his food, then minutes later I also find a hair baked into my chicken.I was asked upon complaining to the manager about the 1st hair , where did the hair come and if it came from me. (The hair was a short type 4 hair strand) definitely not my hair texture and my hair is long and straight. I told my very kind waiter about my plate and the 2nd hair and was told he would take both meals off as I was now unable to even finish my plate. When my husband went to pay they refused to take off both the meals. He said nothing to me until we got home, so I called to speak with the manager who responded that all of her kitchen staff has hairnets and she didnt wanna hear anything else from me. I asked if her cook had facial hair but was cut off by the dial tone as she hung up on me. So bc of the unprofessionalism I drove back up there. Called again no answer, called from my husband's number and a man answered. I told him i would be coming back and wanted to speak with the general manager. He told me "HE" won't be back in until Wednesday. I told him I didn't care and just have the info ready when I arrived.
Once I get there I noticed the cook not only has facial hair but also isn't wearing his net fully over all of his hair...
I'm rudely told by the manager to wait until her boss comes. I wait for almost 10 min and I proceed to tell the "general manager" what happened. SHE rudely and falsely accuses me of being a regular (we barely eat there only come when aiden requests for special occasions like tonight). Anytime we come we never have a problem. If we did why would it be my son's favorite place and why would we ever come back if there was constantly a problem? The manager tells me well I will give u the refund and ask that you no longer come back 😐 When I told her her staff was not being truthful bc I barely ever come in , and that i am not a regular and that I have never even seen her staff members before in my life. She called me a liar and said that wasn't what she was told. I told her well, with all this I would gladly never come back and I would be happy to tell a few other never to be bothered either! She says well then I wont refund you- Oh yes the heck u will...
After other words exchanged she claims I cussed at her (which I did not we have it on recorder and I never cussed at her up to this point )Then the manager comes over hands me the money and she says take ur money and get out of here. Then she gave me the ghetto girl "I'll catch u outside stare"" You know the squint of the eye and she gritted her teeth! I saw red:::::::😮😮 I let her know we could happily take it outside and handle it that way if she wanted.Upon being basically kicked out for making a complaint about hairs being found in our food I was called a B*by the manager and the general manager says u gonna argue in front of ur kids? I told her yup and my kids can also sit and watch her catch this a** whoopin too!👊👊👊👊👊
I figured all who eats at steaknshake may want to know to avoid that hair infested location+ they ratchet and don't deserve ur money at All.

Read moreExtremely slow service and Rude Manager. My daughter and I entered the restaurant at 11:38 on a Wednesday, thinking we would beat the lunch rush. We were not greeted right away - even though an employee looked at us without speaking. About 5 minutes later we were greeted and told we could seat ourselves wherever we liked. There were three other parties dining in at that point. A full 10 minutes passed before a waiter came to our table to take our order. Another 20 minutes passed before our shakes arrived. The waiter was very friendly and did apologize for the wait. After 30 minutes our waiter appeared again and said he would go check on our food. At 12:45 he came to the table and said our meals had been sent to the drive-through window. He told us he had placed a new order for fresh food and that our shakes would be complimentary due to the wait. About 7 minutes later our food appeared. It had been 72 minutes since we walked in.The food was satisfactory, but plated incorrectly. My daughter's seasoned fries were on my plate, and my plain fries were on her plate. We ate, then went to the register to pay at 1:15. Our cashier was Jenn, who turned out to be the manager. She asked us how our visit was. I told her a very brief summary of our wait and mentioned that the shakes had been promised as complimentary due to us being there almost 2 hours. She asked if I had spoken to a manager about it, and told us they "don't give away free food". While speaking to me shekept sighing and rolling her eyes. I said our waiter had made the promise. Jenn told us he didn't have that authority and said said she could give us a small percentage discount, but repeated that they "don't give stuff away". I asked for a manger at this point, and Jenn raised her hand with a snyde smile. I asked her if the store's reputation was worth the price of two shakes, and told her that I post Google reviews of businesses I visit. While I was talking to Jenn she actually moved away and helped someone else, then came back to the register. She sighed some more, rolled her eyes again, and told me that the discount she could give me would more than cover the cost of the shakes. Frustrated with the ordeal, we paid and left. Not once did Jenn apologize or even acknowledge that anything out of the ordinary had happened. She even insinuated that I was lying - citing the time stamp on the printout where the re-order had been placed at 12:44. I would definitely NOT recommend...
Read moreService has gone down hill DRASTICALLY I am currently sitting in this steak and shake and have been sitting in this booth since 12:40 listening to THREE associates looking at my boyfriend and I as they stood around the drink machine complaining about how they want to leave, someone finally said "Someone will be will be right with you" and continued to be loud and comlaining with her other associates WHERE WE COULD SEE THEM AND HEAR THEM at 12:55 and finally when someone else that was OUTSIDE came back inside I guess from there break our order was taken at 1am. Crystal our waitress seamed to be the only one doing anything that night as everyone else just stood around talking to each other. We finally got our food at 1:10. and that was the last time we saw our waitress she went BACK outside for the remainder of our time here until we left at 1:45am. When we walked outside the manager was trying to talk to our waitress outside about how she needs to be more attentive to the customers and not just outside (which we all can agree on) and the waitress had the nerve to have an attitude talking back about how she did everything she needed to do, and making sure to state that she would not "put up" with how the manager was talking to her (which the manager was speaking to her professionally and calmly yet firm the entire time like a manager should) will not be back to this location for a very long time if not at all anymore and just drive the 8 extra miles and go to the one...
