Great food. Great service. Whole team interacts with the customers, food is always made fresh which means its never cold. One of the best places in charlotte, definitely best place for pizza in charlotte. If something is wrong with your order he fixes it THE SAME night and will apologize for making the mistake(which is more then you get from other places). Teddy is a great guy. The employees are basically one big family, and he makes the customers feel like family too. And he gets BUSY, so if your food isnt ready when you get there its probably because of how busy it got in less then a few minutes(Plus side you get hot, fresh out the oven food.) Defiantly worth recommending. And as far as deliveries go, He doesnt make it until he can take it, the food is never cold... To the woman who said her steak was frozen, i have to call bs because its not frozen meat that he just slaps on a sub, also you watched him make them right in front of you, in a 600° oven nothing comes out frozen...they were still hot when he gave them to you so if its cold thats on you. But Teddy never sells food if its undercooked To the lady who said she got charged double. He only charges you 3.25 delivery fee(like most places) if you came in and ordered then you need to speak with your bank. He only charges you for what you order. To the lady who said she waited forever and got cold on a delivery...i have to call BS because he doesnt make it until they can take it, also he dobles up his bags and I can you from experience you can leave hot food in his bag for 5-6 hours and have luke warm food so waiting a hour and a half for food that he probably came out the oven right b4 it was sent was not cold. His food never is and never will be cold, so like i said i have to call bulls**t, i know from experience... And to the guy complaining about the steak philly...its not mozzarella pizza cheese its a mozzarella/provolone mix, real veggies, some flavor and oven baked what more...
Read moreWell, it’s the end of an era - we’ve placed our last order and will no longer be customers. I’ve been enjoying the pizza here on a weekly basis - it’s the closest I’ve found to what I grew up with. Each week my family places a big order that runs about $70 - not cheap, but usually worth it. Until tonight, when I heard Teddy YELLING over the phone at my daughter-in-law when she called to check on the food that had been ordered nearly 90 minutes before (and promised in 45-60 minutes). Rather than providing a modicum of customer service by apologizing for the delay, which would have been understood, or offering to comp some part of the order, which would have been appreciated, Teddy screamed at my DIL and berated her for calling. He also yelled at someone in the restaurant, “I think it’s time you stopped drinking!” All of this was clearly audible without being on speaker phone. My son called then and got the exact same treatment: yelling and berating from Teddy. We canceled the order since Teddy had “just put the order in” 90 minutes after it was placed and because - frankly - all of us expected that an owner who treats his customers this way is the kind of person that spits on your food, or worse, because you “complained”. Teddy tried to use some logic to explain the delay (“I don’t put the food in until I can get it out”), which suggests they don’t have enough staff to make timely deliveries - not surprising when the owner treats customers (who make him money) with such disregard, as he likely treats his employees (who technically cost him money) even worse. At the end of the day, no amount of “complaining” (even though the call was only checking on the progress) warrants the verbal abuse that Teddy dished out. What a shame. I expect that Teddy will ignore this feedback - or he’ll post another one of his sarcastic replies that reinforces the idea that he doesn’t care the least bit about customer service....
Read moreI have ordered from here, many times. Teddy's pizza is such a gem here in Charlotte and offers great prices. My first time getting food from here was late 2020, I had recently moved here and was looking for good pizza, coming from NY, it's very different to the $1 thin slices you'd get, but either way I ordered from here and it was amazing, forgot about it until late 2021 when we were hungry and looking for pizza that was good, cheap and had delivery accepting cash, Teddy's popped up, we had moved from the apartments right next to Teddy's and needed delivery, hoping taxes and fees wouldn't get us we ordered anyways but to our surprise it came out pretty cheap, from then on we ordered here basically every week, the pizza is so good and sometimes has that nice bake, saucy and ooey gooey cheese that melts into your taste buds with an everlasting satisfaction making you want to come back for more. They have amazing prices and offer delivery for a good radius. The pizza is always steaming and piping hot even after delivery. I have been in the store myself and it is Cleveland Brown heaven, while I don't pay much attention to football, anybody can enjoy the hardcore fan gear in the store with arcade machines and large tvs for football season viewing. Service is amazing but may sometimes be a little off, but that should be expected, Teddy's is such an amazing place and can be super busy with orders flying out the door, whoever answers is nice and to be honest, if Teddy's answers, expect him to be straight forward with you, he may be busy and can be answering the calls himself. It's not just pizza too, they have amazing burgers, pasta, wings and subs.
Teddy's is a great place to check out when you're in the area or an amazing place to eat every week when you just don't feel like cooking or don't have...
