New digital order ONLY. Confusing. Can’t see ingredients. Unless you know what each item is made of, there’s no way to use the app to find what ingredients are used. What allergens are represented. When we walked inside I was greeted by a floor to ceiling solid wall. A woman from behind a small plexiglass said something to us. The plexiglass muffled her voice. After we asked realized there was no place to stand and look at a menu or see ingredients, we went back to the plexiglass employee seated in a chair. She then got up and came closer to the window to say we had to order thru the app. Choosing to stick with our dinner plan, we downloaded the app. Signed up/in. Then had to figure out the not-user friendly app. So, at least 15 minutes passed before we both placed our individual orders via our own phones. We decided to outside on the lovely patio. Food never came out to us. No notification beeped that my order was ready. I went inside and found my dinner on a shelf that is common for DoorDash drivers to use for their customers. I then had to request utensils and napkins to eat IN the restaurant. (I already saw and selected this via the app when I ordered). My friends meal wasn’t there. I asked employees about her order. They didn’t have a “ticket” for that name. I go back outside to friend and friend discovers her order did NOT go thru. Now I have dinner but she will have to wait until her order is made. I do not recommend this style of fast casual dining to those who want a simple meal. Not simple. Not convenient. Food quality and quantity was as I have come to expect from past experiences at traditional CAVA fast casual restaurants. I will not be returning to this location at...
Read moreCame here after some friends highly recommended it while we were talking about Cava yesterday.
Right away, I got an It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia vibe—no greeting or acknowledgment from staff upon arrival, even after looking around for signage. Other patrons also seemed confused by the "pickup/delivery only" setup.
Tried ordering online, but the Cava website was painfully slow, taking 30–45 seconds to load each screen. Ended up downloading the app, setting up an account, and finally, 20 minutes after arriving, our order was in.
While waiting, I noticed one staff member at least acknowledged someone standing at what any normal person would assume is an ordering window. A little later, another staff member gave a timeline update, which was nice to see.
I did get a reply when I thanked the staff for my meal, but overall, the vibe just felt awkward.
At least the food was pretty good.
I did check my connection, too, since the cava website acted like I was al using a 56k modem, but nope, that's not it. Plenty of bandwidth to support a food order. Don't know what the app/website issue could be.
4/3 update - didn't think you could drop the ball any harder, but even the automated email system you send out requesting acknowledgment of a satisfactory response appears broken.... Get it...
Read moreI got food today and I got the spicy lamb meatballs + avocado bowl (customized). I think it was a little difficult to order..and you have to join the rewards program to order. For the food, I only got 2 meatballs and the portions weren't equally distributed in the bowl...it was basically all lettuce with like a teaspoon of each ingredient in the bowl. The pita chips were EXTREMELY overseasoned and over-salted! I couldn't even finish them and I ALWAYS love Cavas pita chips...its my favorite thing there. Next...the service wasnt barely friendly here. Everybody had the " I hate it here attitude" . One of the guys left the store instead of ordering while I was there because he was getting frustrated. When we have questions on the app, the customer service doesn't make you really want to ask the workers because of the unpleasantness.
Took forever to order food, and spent $20+ for basically a lettuce bowl and some oversalted pita chips. My food was also a Togo order....maybe I have to eat in to get good service and food. But its not a really inviting place to eat inside.
Im not gonna be coming here again...i didnt even know this place was there. But I definitely will nit recommend this place to anyone I know. I'd advise people to just go to the regular Cava for a...
