Dino's Wood Fired Pizza & Grill — Restaurant in Charlottesville

Fantastic service, and even better food.

Out of town from Detroit Michigan and refuse to go to chains. Looked in Yelp and found Dino’s Wood-Fired Pizza & Grill. The pizza looked great. The family wanted wood fired pizza and this fit the bill. We ordered two 16 inch pizzas (the homecoming and the Queen) and one 10” (The Henry) as well as a Greek and a Caesar salad to share. The pizza was on point. The crust was delicious and crispy and the the sauce was delicious. Loved the balsamic drizzle on the Henry along with the spicy honey. The family loved the Queen and the Homecoming. And we went for the salad…I realized I forgot it.

It has been a long day of hiking and exploring with family I was in a hurry. I left without my salads and when I called to ask for a refund they insisted on delivering it. I told them it wasn’t necessary but they did it anyway. When I tipped the very kind woman who delivered it she tried to refuse that as well.

Many people say you can’t find a place with great service. Dino’s hit it out of the park. We’re only in town for a couple days but we’ll certainly be back...

I got the Build Your Own Bowl with mixed greens, chicken, Mediterranean coleslaw, olives, cucumber, feta, and avocado. All the ingredients were fresh and delicious - even the fresh avocado was sliced and perfectly ripe. The salad and ingredients were perfect, definitely would recommend it!

The only downside was that they had Greek dressing offered on their list of dressings but when I asked for it the person preparing my salad said they didn’t have any. While I was paying, another customer came up and asked for an extra container of Greek dressing and I said something about it to the person who had made my salad and was now checking me out, and they said that the build your own bowl doesn’t come with that option. I honestly would have been fine paying extra for the dressing since that’s the one I wanted and the avocado already cost extra (which was worth every penny). So, I don’t understand why I couldn’t have just had the dressing I wanted.

But, in the end, the salad was super good, the ingredients were fresh and crisp, and the chicken was seasoned...

While visiting Charlottesville to help take care of my dear, late aunt's estate, I was tasked with finding some place to deliver food so we could all continue working. I chose Dino's. After reading the marvelous reviews, I was saddened to see the product delivered. Two hard, dry pizzas, no sauce, and our topping selections were clearly ignored after I took the time to write everything out in the comment section to avoid confusion. Dino's pizza has to be the worst pizza I have ever had and believe me when I say that all of my aunt's neighbors now know of our experience. Perhaps it's because I'm out-of-state that they thought they could cheat us like this, I don't know. But I will certainly continue to expose people who have no regard for their customers as we still have relatives in the area and intend to visit again under better circumstances. You should be ashamed of yourselves for allowing such a dilapidated product to reach your customers!😡 Better off using it as fuel for...
