The Milkman's Bar — Restaurant in Charlottesville

The star of the Bar is CLARENCE! He greeted every customer as they sat down, made everyone feel very welcome, was charming & enthustastically explained drink menu questions. My friend ordered the GIGGLY WATER, which she said was refreshing & delicious. It had beautiful, multi colored alcohol bubbles in it...you can't stop looking at it! It smells like fresh peaches and summer. Check out their menu for a full description of the drink. I don't drink alcohol, and they had a lovely alcohol free drink menu. After chatting about the types of flavors I liked, CLARENCE made the best Lemonade I have ever had in my life. When we left the indoor bar, we met Abigail serving coctails outside in her adorable white vintage bicycle bar. The cocktails were priced well & the atmosphere is nice. The drinks themselves however I found them to be lackluster. I ordered three drinks & all three left me wanting more as I found the presentation to be great but they're flavors to be lacking. Great concepts but bad execution. Some drinks should be workshoped a bit more. One drink called the Lucile requires the drinker to participate in fishing out the rest of the spirit from a decorative ice ball. Always such a pleasure to be at the Milkman's bar. Drinks are a bit above average, around $14~ for the specialty ones, but you really get a one-of-a-kind drink. I remember trying their habanero drink and it was amazing! They kept the menu fresh while maintaining some classics like the Rose Quartz. Only complaint is that it's part of the food court so it's a bit loud sometimes BUT you can bring food from anywhere in the dairy market so...
