Alberto's Mexican Food — Restaurant in Charter Oak

This is my first review of a restaurant, ever. I was going to order lunch, but asked to use the restroom first. The guy at the counter was rude and obstinate. He told me I couldn’t have the bathroom code until I paid for something. That the restroom was for customers only, ignoring that I was about to eat at this establishment.

I have a disability—I have a very limited window to use the restroom before I piss on the floor. Would that have been a better solution? Piss my pants during the check out process? We went through the drive through to order after I was turned away, because we were still hungry. The man refused to let me use the restroom until we came to the window and paid.

I’ve been a server, and I’ve worked in a lot of restaurants. I get that working in a to-go environment can be difficult, is a lot of hard work, and you have to deal with a myriad of crazy people, but I’m clearly not a crackhead—I’m a regular person that needed to use the restroom before I ate a burrito.

C’mon, use some discernment and respect your customers. This is basic human decency.

Taco Bell is across the street and they have no problem with a drive through customer using the restroom...

BONES and Burritos I have gone here for years and typically this chain and its family chains are good. Last 2 times not so good.

Order 1- Chile Relleno Burrito- My wife loved it. Order 2- Carnitas Burrito- loosely wrapped. Very oily and not strained meat. A large 3/4” sharp bone chip in the meat. I called the store and told the guy that answered the phone that I was calling to make them aware of the problem. He said we don’t have bones in our meat. Well he was argumentative so I quickly let him know how I felt about that. He stayed defensive and said I could bring it back. I told him I wasn’t trying to get a free burrito but wanted them to know the problem. He said is there anything else, and I asked for his name. He replied I don’t give out my name because it makes me feel uncomfortable. He stated there was no manager. Maybe someone else should consider opening a restaurant nearby with better service...

I have been coming here for years ,and got to say I've always loved them .But within this last month it is sad to say that they have sadly fallen off the chart.I came thursday October 27 at aroud 6:20.Love the cashier but I also came a week ago and order carnitas mini fries and everything was bland the meat was burn of looked dry has if had been iut for awhile. Never the less decided it was just a bad day,but the tonight when order a bean and cheese even the beans had no flavor the cheese made oil drip over .Now I I hope this reaches the man in charge to(change the kitchen staff)they are either getting lazy or the new man back there just doesn't know what he is doing.Please don't make ne go ti Alfa Omega...
