This is a nice place to go for a quick little meal. It has high ratings and was close to the place we were staying. Plus it was open after tourist season. We arrived around 8 on a holiday Monday morning in November. The only customers were a handful of older men at the counter with their newspaper and cheerful banter. 2-3 employees were working the floor and sitting down at a booth to chat with one another or do a crossword between orders. It was a layed back atmosphere. The wall/mural painting is old but looks wonderful. The walls contain antiques which make for fun conversation starters. Food came out fast and cooked nicely. It wasn't over the top, just ordinary and good. Straws, butter and syrup were provided without having to ask. Our bill was given to us mid meal and we paid at the counter. Part of the business is a small store where you can get candy, soda and other stuff you'd expect at a gas station.

I've been coming over many years because they're close to home, and I've never been impressed. But hey its convenient... 🤷🏼‍♀️ They can never get simple orders right, or are missing items without a refund for said missing items... Today we find out they "blend their ham" (quoting the cook, will NOT call them a chef) for their omelets when trying to return it thinking it was hash... That's VILE and I've never heard of such a thing! It looks like blended hot dogs and doesn't taste like ham at all.. the pictures actually make it look pink... it isn't..... 🤢 it's VERY gray. I've worked breakfast several times in my life and this isn't how to do it. I don't think the convenience factor makes up for this whatsoever. I'm scared to think what else that kitchen is doing (or isn't). Sorry to rant but this is just offensive.

We were in Chatham and you can't go to Chatham and not go to Larry's PX. Diner food with a little pizazz. I had the fried whole belly clam plate, it was delicious and a generous portion. My wife had the famous Chatham chicken basket and it did not disappoint, Great as always.

We were looking for a place to have a sit down breakfast for over an hour on Tuesday 09/21/21 at about 10:30 am. It was practically impossible as so many places are closed on Tuesdays in Chatham or closed for the season. It's kind of crazy actually. Someone could open up a breakfast place there that stays open and make a killing. So we finally settled on Larry's PX restaurant reluctantly because I could tell from other reviews that this place wasn't going to be great. I figured it would be decent though given it was 4/5 stars. Immediately upon walking in the vibe was really weird as the layout of the place is odd to say the least. You feel like you're walking into a convenience store and run into an awkwardly set up run down 50s diner-style eatery.

The coffee was decent and we ordered our breakfast. I had 2 eggs over medium, bacon, home fries, toast, and French toast with berries. It was ok. My husband ordered the same except he chose their linguica sausage (which we were told was like a Portuguese chorizo) instead of bacon and had pancakes instead of French toast. Well he had to send the pancakes back because they were raw inside and the linguica he said tasted kind of "funny"...but he thought that's what linguica was supposed to taste like. Within 45 minutes of leaving there he felt the stomach rumbles and had to find a bathroom quick. We were actually heading back home to CT and ended up having to find a bathroom again quickly so he could " get it all out." What a lesson. We should have gone with our gut and never...

2nd time my experience at Larry’s has been disappointing. Sat in booth under blaring radio moved to quieter section. Ordered grill blueberry muffin and egg sausage breakfast sandwich and coffee and sandwich to go. The breakfast sandwich was very good. The grilled blueberry muffin was burnt not grilled. Why the waitress would deliver this when obviously burned is beyond me. Their replacement muffin to go was not a muffin but wrapped small blueberry bread and is stale. They take credit cards but my card was declined ( a new card) and finally one waitress came over and stated how they have been having problems with the phone lines on the card. They referred me to their ATM and had the same problem. Had to go to the liquor store to use their atm at a$3 charge. I hear the waitress speaking with the owner and she knew this was a problem. Not...
