Blackstone Grille — Restaurant in Chattanooga

We had “okay” service, the waitresses were all pleasant and sweet, and there was a bit of a wait on our food which we normally wouldn’t mind. HOWEVER the food was cold when brought to the table except for my sons 1 chicken tender that came with the kids meal. All Fries were stone cold. My southwest chicken egg rolls were dry and flavorless (completely inedible and seemed like old food). My husband said the sirloin sandwich was “alright” but more like something out of a gas station hot box. We are not usually people to complain, but I sent the egg rolls back and didn’t eat anything else from there. The waitress was nice about it and took it off of our bill. We could see inside of the kitchen and the cooks and waitresses were eating something off of a plate at the end of the table and licking their fingers (gross) and also they had a pile of what appeared to be dirty dishes on another table in the kitchen up against the wall and we noticed waitresses were dipping sauces out of the open air containers there and bringing it out to customers. Which is when I decided that I would leave a review. It was so disgusting. We travel through here on vacation every 2 years or so, and saw the reviews were decent for this restaurant and decided to try it. We will never be back to eat at this restaurant, and I feel like a review is necessary to let people know our experience. I’m so surprised at all of the good reviews the place has received and also how busy this place was since it’s so lackluster, and honestly not good...

This is the fifth time dining at this establishment. We have also eaten and enjoyed their sister restaurant, Stevarino's, multiple times. All previous visits to Blackstone Grille were enjoyable with good food, excellent service and pleasant and clean atmosphere. We have even brought out of town guests here on multiple visits. We went on Friday, 6/6/25 as we were advised by friends that they had CATFISH DINNER SPECIAL on FRIDAYS. I called before we left home and the woman who answered the phone said they did not have this tonight. NO BIG DEAL BECAUSE THERE ARE OTHER ITEMS ON THE MENU THAT WE LIKE. On arrival, my husband asks the waiter if indeed the catfish was no longer available. He checked with the kitchen an they told him that it was available. Communication issue. The food arrived promptly. The meal consisted of fried catfish, french fries and broccoli ( as the green beans were sold out). Problems: broccoli was stone cold ( not even room temperature), the fries, while well seasoned, were lukewarm and VERY soggy, and the most disappointing was the fish. The batter, or should I say armor, was soooo hard that you needed to saw through it with a knife to get to the fish,. The fish was very fresh but the preparation was inadequate and totally unprofessional. Such a shame that the cook tried his best to destroy what was a lovely, fresh piece of fish. He needs to go take a refresher course on fish...

Great place. I had the sirloin steak and it was one of the best I've had in a while. Was cooked perfectly. Prices seem competitive for the area. This was my first time visiting this establishment, but I will definitely be back when I'm in town. The servers were awesome, very friendly and made me feel very welcome and like I was an old friend. I mistakenly left my card after paying, and when I returned to collect it the next day they had it secured and waiting for me. I tried the brisket sandwich for lunch and it was good, but it had a bit more fat than I like, so most likely I won't have that again. I'm glad I chose to try this restaurant. As soon as I'm back I will visit again. It's hard to beat a place with good food, amazing servers and decent prices. You don't feel herded in and out, and you're not forgotten after getting your food. Other places in the area...
