Los 3 Amigos — Restaurant in Chattanooga

My family and I love Mexican food. We eat almost exclusively at Mexican restaurants. I am fluent in Spanish. We had the worst food and service we've ever had at a Mexican restaurant when we ate at Los 3 Amigos.

We entered the restaurant and I heard the manager bickering with a customer at the cash register. The customer presented two coupons she had purchased online (from Los 3 Amigos) and the manager refused to accept both. The customer proffered that the coupons did not mention any exclusions and that no text thereon stated that they could not be used concurrently. Additionally, the customer pointed out that when she bought the coupons online, they came as a pair. The manager's reply was that it was "company policy" not to accept them concurrently. The customer quickly retorted that the "company policy" was not posted on the web, on the coupons, or anywhere in the restaurant. The manager stood her ground. I wanted to leave, and should have left, but did not. What ensued was a horrible experience.

My family and I (all nine of us) arrived about 15 minutes before the lunch special cutoff time. We were seated and then proceeded to wait approximately 10 minutes until chips were brought to our table and our drink orders were taken. Had the restaurant been busy, we would have understood. However, other than our family, there were maybe 25 other patrons in the restaurant--hardly a lunch crowd.

To make a long story short, our orders were incorrect. The food was cold when brought to us. We were not given the lunchtime prices, though we ordered off of the lunch menu and were seated 15 minutes before lunch ended. The service was deplorable and the bathrooms rivaled those of a hole-in-the-wall gas station in the middle of nowhere.

We will never return to Los 3 Amigos. In fact, we now call it Los 3 Enimigos (Enemies). Cold food, deplorable service, and...

DO NOT COME HERE UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR TAKEOUT ORDER TO ALWAYS BE WRONG. As pictured I can ONLY eat black beans because of a medical issue and they put the other kind on there. Secondly I didn’t order soup so why are my nachos literally soup? My husband ate my dinner because I couldn’t and told me that the meat tasted like a wet dog. After my last visit here I can confirm it did. His quesadilla was literally the size of a taco and didn’t have anything else on it. The bean and cheese dip that he got well you should be able to see the issue. The first time we came here these people were completely ridiculous and even broke my husband’s card in the card reader so we had to get a replacement. Then this time the little girl who was doing it was NOT looking and just trying to shove the card in. It was also completely inappropriate and unprofessional of these girls to ogle at my husband when they clearly cant even do their job.

Sadly the place used to be good a few years ago but the new workers here are ruining the atmosphere and food. This is the second time Ive been here because I tried to give them some grace. BIG MISTAKE. Going here literally costs you more than eating out because you waste money buying the food you cant eat. Next time ill go to taco bell. If you are in the area this is an amazing place to eat. Just off of 24 hwy at Cummings hwy. As you can see from the photos just look at the stake cooked to perfection with beans and rice. Then look at the chicken tortilla soup was amazing. I saved the best for last. The freshly made guacamole that was brought out was out of this world. As I walked up from the parking lot to the front doors I walk in to be greeted with a smile. The staff were all wearing mask and quickly seated me. After looking at the large menu options I decided on the freshly made guacamole with chips, and salsa. After enjoying the appetizer the chicken tortilla soup was huge my eyes lit up. The flavors were busting to just the right amount. I had to get a to go container because the serving was so large. Next came the main course. As you can see 👀 from the pictures the steak was amazing 🥲. The meat 🍖 was so tender and juicy.

As I was eating I saw the staff washing and wiping down all the tables, chairs, etc. This was very comforting to see with all the covid stuff going on. I highly recommend this place so let them...
