China Rose Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Chattanooga

All I can say is, for a little hole in the wall Americanized Chinese food take out joint in little ole' Chattanooga Tennessee, this place will surprise you. They have the common fare, but if you have been to China, or any American big city like Atlanta, Los Angeles, or New York, you have experienced real quality Chinese food, then you will want to visit this joint!! The chef here really is an expert cook, and he can stir up a feast!! He caters to Chinese families and events, so if you have that particular urge to eat some scrumptious Chines food, they can satisfy your cravings. You just need to show a little appreciation for the cultural food and ask for the real deal. They are most happy to share their great culinary flavors with you. You will have to order in advance, but you will be delighted with the great outcome. 5 stars, and I mean it!! My pic is of a real lobster, in the shell, breaded lightly in corn starch and deepfried, then tossed in a delicate ginger , garlic scallion sauce. WOW. I can't wait to go back, probably at least once a week, if not more!! No Chinese restaurant has eve offered to create for me such great traditional food. The Chef is a master seafood chef, so if you are really hungry, and wanting something unlike your usual sweet, sugar coated Americanized, (and they do sell that for YOU), then, this China Rose...

We ordered general tsos, chicken kung pao, and sweet and sour chicken. We just moved here and trying to find a good Chinese delivery place. I have to say very little was good.

Firstly, we ordered delivery off their website. I ASSUME they use DoorDash or similar bc our food that was delivered 45 minutes later was lukewarm at best. But okay, we will heat it up. Not a HUGE deal but annoying.

Heated up food not great. Sweet and sour chicken was okay - how can you really mess that up. General tsos chicken was edible. Sauce was traditional and good.

The fried rice looked and tasted like yellow rice microwave pouches from the grocery store and had no flavor. The kung pao chicken was NOT traditional KPC. Sauce had no flavor and was certainly not traditional. Chicken was boring.

Spring rolls had to be the most tasteless I’ve ever had.

Not sure how this has any stars, frankly. Glad we could rule it out early.

Have been stopping there for years getting Chinese food. Most of the time good, however, I stopped in May 30 to get dinner and I had to use the restroom and had to wait for older women employee to come out. I could tell that she did not wash her hands because the sink was completely dry. Then she went the kitchen and started preparing the dinners to go. What's wrong with this picture?????????? Bu the way, there was no soap in the dispenser and no towels in the holder. I had to wash up the best I could. Shame on you older lady employee. Will I come back???? Don know, would you? ...
