Went to Cracker Barrel tonight a place to go order it’s Friday night not very busy. I went to the front after walking through the Store there were two young ladies and a young guy behind the register young ladies walking to the store as miserable as they could be one of them after I made eye contact did smile back no words were spoken. They were just aimlessly walking around in circles with a young man at the front, who after I asked to please say to go order called somebody on his microphone. The young lady that came up had her order book out and ready to take my order. I still haven’t seen a menu so she said how annoying and got me a menu. She took my order right then in there I ordered a catfish with a couple of sides. She asked for a name for the order so I assumed she would bring it up when it was ready well after hanging around for 45 more minutes, including the waitress stand, nobody asked me there was anything they could help with including the manager who passed by about 45 minutes I asked the young man if you could check on my to go order and he said oh it’s right here. Sorry I didn’t see you again after me lurking around for close to an hour when I checked the bag I noticed that the biscuits were cold after I purchased my items. I asked him if he could kindly Request some hot biscuits and some jelly for my biscuits. Let me find out need to say 10 more minutes I still do not have replacement biscuits nor the jelly so I just picked the ones up on the counter that I have put their previously and told him to cancel it. Thank you very much. I am staying at the hotel next-door by the time I got back to my room. I sit here with ice, cold, catfish, and vegetables. Extremely unhappy!!!! which is possibly why on a Friday night Cracker Barrel is not very busy at all! I’m sure the manager who I highly doubt even reads the reviews. I know this job might be a paycheck to you, but you have a lot of young people who are working under your management and you are failing them along ...
Read moreShould've read pick-up order reviews before ordering lunch here today. Placed an online order for lunch that said it would be ready in 30 minutes. I get there and was told it's not ready yet, which I didn't mind to wait. After 20 minutes of waiting I was getting concerned about my order. The 2 ladies working the front were more than nice and helpful. They had called back to the kitchen to find out about my order and another order for a lady that had also been waiting about 10 minutes past her scheduled pick-up time. The girl that was running the food to the front came up to me with a less than pleasant attitude. She informed me that they don't have dumplings ready, at almost 11am which is lunch time by most restaurant standards, to which I replied "well why didn't someone come out 20 minutes ago with that information to offer me a different side?" Pretty standard kitchen practice to be honest. Don't have it, fine but inform the customer waiting that it'll either be X amount of minutes for item ordered or offer to replace the item with something else on the menu.
It didn't seem like she was going to offer me a replacement side until I had asked about it. Not even 2 minutes later she comes out with my order. So no surprise that the other items were cold already, and the fried okra that had been sitting in a plastic dome for likely 25 minutes was soggy and gross. More than disappointed today. To top it off I was late to work with the whole ordeal. I wouldn't have placed an order for a specific time if I had known that the actual pick-up time for food would've been an additional 25 from the time it said.
Worst Cracker Barrel experience I've ever had. Likely will not return to...
Read moreMy husband and I took our family last night for Valentine's dinner. The food was not the quality we usually receive and the portions were smaller than usual. This is the first time we have ever had a problem like this. We go to Cracker Barrel on a regular basis because our family love it. Our waitress, Olivia, was very nice. She came over several times apologizing for the wait on our food, very complimentary of our grandchildren's behavior and manners, and very helpful getting the items missing on each of our meals. Now, when I inquired about the promotional deal of if you spend $35 or more on a meal you get a free dessert. She didn't know anything about it and referred me to the clerk at the register. When I got up to the register, the clerk was very rude. I inquired about the dessert and the mints (because I had spent over the $10 in the store - another promotion). She said she had never heard of that and that I was wrong and that I must have misunderstood. I tried to explain that I just received the email on it today. She was very short and did not try to rectify the situation. Just checked me out and sent me on my way. I then asked to speak to a manager. I waited over 15 minutes before a manger came out. I heard the clerk ask for a manager 4 times and on that last request, she said, I need a manager because she won't go away. Really? When the manager came out I explain the situation and his response was I don't know anything about either promotion. Needless to say, I didn't receive either promotional item, did not get asked about our dining experience and left frustrated. If you are going to have a promotional deal, please inform your...
