I have had a very hard experience thus far with Rooms To Go. Their delivery and logistics department has been absolutely terrible. After reading others reviews with very similar situations to mine, I can’t understand why this has not been addressed.
The experience started very pleasant with my interaction with everyone at the actually facility. After purchasing a new home it was time to furnish it. I spent a full day going from place to place speaking with employees and looking at furniture. My goal was to get as much of the big items I could from one place as not to have to deal with multiple companies. I decided Rooms To Go was the best fit for me. They had decent quality furniture, styles that fit my taste, prices that fit my budget, and salespeople whom I liked. While walking around and placing my order they were very upfront about the long delivery times due to material shortages delaying production. I work in an industry where we are experiencing the same issues so this was not a big problem to begin with.
Fast forward over a month from my purchase and my first delivery was scheduled to be delivered. The delivery company did not show up in the scheduled delivery time frame. I work seven day a week most times and had taken this day off for this, and to get several other things done. Once they called to say they were almost at my home I had ran out to try to get some errands done. I told them they were well outside of their time frame so I had left, but would be there within 15 min. They said they would not wait. I felt like this was both mine and their fault so I said ok and instructed them just to leave it on my front porch and I would take it from there.
Another month and a half later my second delivery was scheduled to be delivered. Time frame was from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. At 12:58 I got a call from the dispatcher stating the delivery truck had been broken into earlier that morning and items were stolen so my delivery would not happen. This was extremely frustrating for several reasons. 1) If this had happened earlier in the day why did I not receive this call sooner, at least I could have moved on with my day. 2) When rescheduling I asked for the following weekend. The soonest they said they could do it was two weeks later. They did state they had the same thing I ordered in their warehouse so if my pieces had been stolen they had them in stock to replace. So why could you not schedule a truck the following weekend for my delivery. In my opinion I purchased a large amount of items from your company and you sun-contracted out the delivery. We had an agreed upon date for this delivery and you did not hold up to your end of the bargain. I did not hire this delivery service, I hired Rooms To Go. Regardless I bit my tongue and scheduled for two weeks later.
Today is that date. Same time frame as before 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. I received a phone call at 9:42 stating the truck was not operational and they were trying to figure something out. At least they gave me a heads up this time. All I ask if you make sure my delivery happens today. It is not very difficult to get another delivery vehicle. I am a Production Manager for a tier 1 automotive supplier, we literally have to schedule trucks every single day.
At this point I have no confidence that my delivery will come today, nor do I believe the next delivery I have for my last piece of furniture a month from now will happen without issue.
As someone who spent between $8-10,000 with Rooms To Go, I will more than likely go elsewhere now. I haven’t even come close to purchasing all I need, so that time will be sooner rather than later.

Mother stated she wanted new nightstands on Christmas Eve. I decided to surprise her, by purchasing her something simply as some nightstands. Went to Rooms To Go on Gunbarrel since it was down the street from our home. Matt was the individual appointed to me and I was told to let him know if I needed anything- weird but didn’t acknowledge it because this was going to be a simple and quick transaction. I found the perfect nightstands. Matt soon approached me and ask did I need help. I stated I wanted to know the price of the nightstands, which he did prove. It hit me that it was Christmas eve and that I should first ask if there’s any promotions going on before I tell him I would like to purchase the nightstands. He replied, “yes there’s promotions, but not on the nightstands”. I waited to hear what was the promotions, but he never stated them. So, I asked again, which he replied by stated there isn’t any on the nightstands “. This went on another 2 times after asking about the promotions, but for some odd reason can’t tell. So, I asked, “what’s the promotion on any furniture”. He finally explained 3 year no interest when you financed. I had no desire of financing and asked are there any promotions for people who are paying cash. He stated, “not if you’re only buying the nightstands.” . I replied, “ok. What if I wanted additional furniture”. He replied, “ same as the financing. No interest”. At that point Matt’s statement made no sense and his tone showed aggression. Mind you, Matt is saying this while sitting on a lazy boy. I decided not to give him this sell and to simply go the gift card route and allow my mother to purchase online. Truly and Summarizing my experience, Matt nor the location deserve the sell because of I was treated. Matt’s horrible ability of reading a customer when entering the building was completely off, along with the other workers who were dismissive and would walk by without a simple “Hello. Have you been helped” was very telling of the company or this location’s culture when it relates to customer services. I gave the corporation the benefit of the doubt by letting my mother purchase on-line, but Matt and the other workers...

Went in today to purchase a sectional for my wife and I, we were super excited after finding the sectional we were wanting and getting approved for financing with our down payment. Once Dean, our salesman, took us back to the “back office” he asked how I would like to pay the remainder where I replied I’d be paying with cash. Dean advised me that there was a finance lady / cash person in the back that they would have count it to verify. Not only did the finance lady drop bills on the counter when she was counting it, she confirmed the amount verbally “$1200” to confirm what I had laid out on the desk in front of us. she gives me my change back correctly as I owed $1150 and gave $1200. I get a receipt for this transaction as well as delivery date and i shake Deans hand before I leave. 10 minutes later as I’m in rush hour traffic on the highway, I get a phone call from the store manager stating that they “miscounted” and “you still owe $100 and need to come pay to finish the sale” I ask how this is possible considering we each counted it together while I was there and there were no issues. I get to the store and it’s immediate blame that I did not in fact give the full amount and they were sorry they didn’t verify this number before I left. They tried saying they were too busy to verify it but we were the only ones waiting at the office with money. They were searching under the desk table for my money as I was there knowing she dropped some whole counting when I was here initially.
After they called me a liar and informed me that not only do they not have cameras in the office where they count money, they had no cameras in the whole store. They were unable to verify even on camera where my money went.
Requested a refund on my couch and invoice showing cancellation and behold on the invoice it shows I paid the correct amount (STILL).
