I don't normally do bad posts about places but this place needs work. We made reservations and were immediately sent to our table which was great. However it took us over 30 minutes to receive our bar drinks. Our appetizer came out and was consumed before we received our drinks. Each drink order took about that long to receive. Our server, although very sweet was of no help with any of the questions we had about the menu, the slow bar or the credits we wanted to buy to play games. As a person who was in that business for 15 plus years, if I didnt know, I went to find out immediately. I never left my guests with any questions or feeling neglected. Which brings me to the other issue. We had 5 people (all adults) and wanted to be there for a while so we attempted to get 5 cards. The transaction was going to be $190...cool. We paid and the machine spit out 1 card and said there was an error and we would only be charged $38 dollars. We went over to another machine to get the remaining 4 cards and that was $154 dollars. When I checked my bank account a short while later I noticed that the machine charged my card the $38, the $190 AND the $154. wtf. So I asked our server and she told us to go see the people who give out the prizes? She didn't offer to send a Manger over or offer help in any way. My husband ordered a steak, knowing that it wouldn't be excellent but hoping it would be at least edible. It was not. It was a hideous piece of meat thrown on the grill and only grilled on one side, not seasoned AT ALL and slathered in what seemed like margarine. We told our server and was told it would be comped. Awesome. We got the bill and paid, not really looking because it's not a check it's just a digital machine and lo and behold it was not removed. Our bill for the meal was nearly $300 dollars. Fine we had 5 adults, appetizers and drinks and meals, I understand paying the bill. But if they're going to charge that much for subpar food-the service should be top notch. The other food was good. The sliders were done really well and I enjoyed those but it was hard getting around waiting 20 plus minutes for drinks each time we ordered. I'm very frustrated wtiht my card being charged 3 times and no one offering help. As a former restaurant Manager, server and bartender I'm not sure exactly where the problems originate but I would say they may need to have an overhaul on customer experience. They're charging above average prices for food and they're not delivering on experience in the least. The games were fun and the bathrooms were clean and the place was not busy so it was easy to play and enjoy. But I've spent $300 dollars at dinner and been wowed by the service and food. This place just did not deliver. I will now have to wait for the money that was charged to my card to clear my bank, then dispute it and wait 3-5 business days for it to return. It really takes the fun out of the experience. I don't think I'll be back as there are tons of places around chattanooga to have a fun, relaxing and top notch experience for the prices we paid and not be left feeling bamboozled or neglected. I hope they work on their wait staff and bar staff quickly. It would be a shame to let such an awesome place be run down and looked at as over rated. It's a really quick way to go out of...
Read moreUPDATE Paid a visit to this place again after the last incident we had and this place has improved a lot since then. However, they could work on learning how to make adult beverages because my wife and I ordered the Dangerous Waters island punch in the big tower pitcher, which was like $44, there was hardly any alcohol in the drink. So the drink was definitely NOT WORTH THE MONEY! The smash burger was great though. The pretzel dogs weren't that good and that's what my youngest daughter had. The pretzel bread didn't taste good at all and nearly made us sick. They could also learn how to give proper tipping change so that a proper tip could be left. Even though this place has improved since our last visit I am very doubtful that I will be back to this Dave and Busters in the future.
The place was very crowded, which I expected. However, when we got there they told us there was an hour wait for our party of 6 (2 adults, 2 teenagers and 2 little kids). While we were waiting we noticed several other groups being seated who arrived AFTER us! And no, they were not checked in before us because I checked. There were plenty of empty tables but we just had to wait for an hour for some reason while other people, parties of 3, 4 and 5, were being seated before us and we were there first. I did not like the way that made me feel. Now, once we were seated and ordered our drinks they came very quickly, even the adult beverages. The food didn't take too long either, but they DID forget about my rib plate and my youngest daughter's Mac and cheese kids meal, along with her side of fries. They seemed to be a little scatter brained or maybe a little distracted because I did witness the waitresses gathering in areas just chit chatting about other guests, which is unprofessional. We ate our food, which was good, and drank our drinks and then played some games and left. I have the 2 star rating because the food was good and the drinks came very fast. The 3 missing stars is because of them forgetting mine and my daughters food, seating others before us and making us wait for an hour when there were seats/tables empty, the waitresses gathering around in groups talking about customers, and the waitress hovering over us as if we were NOT going to pay for our $150 bill. However, I did leave a $20 tip, it would have been more but from the way I was being watched over as if I wasn't going to pay, them forgetting mine and my youngest daughter's food, and because I heard them talking about customers the way they did, I didn't leave a better tip. I don't know if I will ever come back to this location or not. I would rather drive to Nashville or Pigeon Forge and eat at the Dave and Busters there than have to go...
Read moreWent here for all you can eat wings because it came with a $10 play card, so we figured, screw it. Eat a lot of wings, play some games while we're at it. I'm going to call it what it is. The AYCE Wings are an absolute SCAM. They took 15-20 minutes between orders of wings, and when asked why we were told, "Well, you know them things are frozen solid back there." Sure, I probably did know that, but who wants to be told that while they eat them? Then, our server, who just literally didn't seem to know anything, failed to tell us that you can only get 4 sauces with the AYCE wings. Admittedly, this isn't completely her fault because their signage and menu don't say that anywhere either. They just want to trick people into ordering it before they tell them, I guess. I hated being that guy, but I wasn't going to pay that kind of money for only 4 of their worst sauces (its like they're trying to get rid of the ones people don't like.) So they did the right thing and said they would give us any of the sauces tonight, which I cant even give them credit for because I basically had to coach the manager into understanding why this would be an inconvenience for us and she still only offered to bring us naked wings with a side of sauce. So you can't just.... toss them? Is that the hard part? You can bring me the bowl, I'll do it. Also, if you read my reviews, I really don't like trashing service staff, or talking bad about them, and that's still true, so I won't say this persons name, but my gosh, the worst service I've ever had. We found ourselves multiple times, longingly staring at the competent looking bartender, and wishing we had just sat at the bar. She took forever to enter our wing orders several times, routinely forget the two sauces we would choose, just two at a time. Disappeared on multiple occasions for long periods of time while I'm sure our wings died in the window, then would blame the other staff for not bringing them to us. Long story short, its took us about 2 whole hours to get 6 orders of 4-6 wings (they were inconsistent counts for some reason) and by the end we didn't even want to play games, the experience literally zapped the life from us and we just...
