Alright, I don't need you to judge me, but I've eaten at the Brazilian steakhouse two days in a row! Yesterday, we dined at the downtown Chattanooga location, and today, I wanted to try the Rodizio Grill at Hamilton Place Mall. Both locations served up some delicious food, but there were some notable differences. The vibe at the mall was a bit more stiff and not quite as warm and inviting as the Rio Grill at the Holiday Inn. The manager at the downtown Chattanooga location spoke to us a few different times, which I appreciated. At the Hamilton Place location, the manager didn't come over to check on us, and the staff wasn't as friendly overall. Our waitress was fine, but the service lacked the personal touch we experienced downtown. As for the food, the steaks were fantastic. Here's a list of what we enjoyed: - PICANHA Top Sirloin - MAMINHA Tri-Tip Steak - BIFE COM ALHO Garlic Steak - BIFE COM PARMESÃO Parmesan Steak - ALCATRA Whole Sirloin However, I didn't care for any of the chicken—it was all dry. The fish was also dry, which was disappointing. But the glazed pineapple? Absolutely heavenly. The Brazilian cheese bread was also a highlight, and you can even find it at Costco if you want to enjoy it at home. Overall, both locations offered great food, but if you're looking for a more welcoming atmosphere, the downtown Chattanooga location might be the better choice. Nonetheless, Rodizio Grill at Hamilton Place Mall still serves up some tasty steaks and that divine pineapple, making it worth a visit.

Party of 6, birthday celebration for two of us. Every year my mother and I celebrate our birthdays at Rodizio together. Hers is first week mine is the 4th week so we go in the middle of the month. Every year we have gone, typically we have several people with us as well. I have not received my birthday email yet and it’s never been a problem as long as I can show them I am signed up and receiving the emails. They have me fill out a form and as easy as that we’ve been doing this since The Hamilton Place location opened. It has never been a problem, until last night. Arrived got asked about drinks quickly. She brought drinks and walked away. Didn’t ask if we had been there before or if we were all getting full Rodizios, no words were exchanged. After 10 minutes my husband went a hunted her down because we also needed to mention the birthday coupons, as he did this as I mentioned to my mom that the manager that’s there now is a nice guy per previous interactions we’ve had with him. She was good with the birthday stuff like we do every year she had my mother forward her email and said she would bring me the form as I expected would happen. Things from there were good until it was time to pay. All of a sudden it was a problem with both of us were using the coupon and I couldn’t use it because I didn’t have it in an email yet. We had conversations prior to the meal to confirm this. As she went for the manager I read my mom’s email to make sure I had the facts right (see photo). This manager proceeded to argue with me (loudly) in front of other customers. I tried explaining the coupon says “within” 14 days it doesn’t say 14 days AFTER your birthday. He also said we could only do one per table, see photo, where does this say one per table? And we had separate checks, brought 6 people with us trying to have a celebration. He agreed to let it slide this time and I said there won’t be a next time. At this point my mom says, maybe you shouldn’t have said all those nice things behind his back. We will take our birthday celebration downtown or somewhere else going forward. From the beginning had the waitress told us we couldn’t do this and conversation could have happened maybe it would have been different. Or maybe we would have taken our $380 (approximate total with all 6 of us) elsewhere. All over $46! I won’t be going back, not even for a free meal, this place has gone downhill since the manager who came from Nashville left. I would not be going out of my way to leave this review had I been approached in an adult like manor to have a conversation be feeling attacked.

This used to be a favorite for me and my husband but just the other day we went and everything had changed and when we got back home as we drove from Knoxville we looked up if possibly there was an acquisition or something similar and it looks like 2 of the owners sold their share so now there's the one owner that has decided that all the meats need to be well done and asking for medium rare is a complete inconvenience. The salad bar is somewhat similar but the bananas that used to be carmelized and soft are now toasted and hard. The gauchos bringing the entrees were very sweet and understanding. They kept bringing the same meats That we had declined and when we mentioned that they didn't need to keep bringing those meets because we don't want them they said oh no we have to which made me feel bad for them because they could probably be restocking or doing their sidework or something else as the restaurant wasn't very full. I remember that we had a favorite waiter whose name escapes me as it's been a while but he was such an attentive server. This time we waited to get refills. I needed a water because I ate a serrano pepper but never got the water even after I mentioned it. Service was just completely sub par besides the gauchos who tried their best to bring what we needed. The restaurant sat empty the entire service which shocked us as it used to get busy closer to dinner time. Oh and the cheese on the salad bar had a slight film like it was being saved at the wrong temperature which is against health standards. A very different experience. I don't even think they do the birthday thing of gifting a free full experience when you visit, not even a free dessert-- even benihana gives $30 for your birthday. If anyone else has experienced this, Pigeon Forge has a beautiful Brazilian steakhouse-- Gaucho Urbano-- that's definitely worth a visit!

I’m giving it five stars because it was an all-around great experience. Was my first time dining here. I was particularly impressed with the variety of meats and the seasonings that were offered. I really like the approach of the gaucho coming to the table and cutting off the individual slices. As you can see, most of my pictures show, medium to medium-rare cuts, And that was my choice. They had a hot bar for mashed potatoes, vegetables, etc. There was also a generous salad bar offered. I really like the concept of the red/green indicator on the table. When we had had enough meat served, I could turn the indicator to red so they would quit coming by the tables and asking if I wanted more. I like that concept. The restaurant was exceptionally clean, and well decorated. The bar was also well appointed. The service here was what really sets off the experience. This is more than just going out for a bite. This is a dining experience… And I really really enjoyed it. The manager, Adam, came over and spoke with us for about 10 minutes. he was very informative and answered all of my questions about the dining experience/franchise concept. I also learned quite a bit about how they source their meat, a general idea of where it comes from, and it was so great. 100% recommend a stop in here. But I do recommend that you go very hungry… This was a lot of food. And I left absolutely stuffed. Great job Rodizio Grill.

I had never really heard of this place before but my friend wanted to go there for her birthday. She would get a free meal with the purchase of a full rodizio. First of all, I don’t like the lunchroom atmosphere of the place. It is too open and noisy and there are no booths. The salad bar was OK. The coconut slaw was very good. The potato salad was bland. The spicy chicken salad was just cold barbecue chicken spiced up. I had a tipsy turtle drink, (not sure of the name ) which was very good. We were there on a Friday night so we did not get to sample the shrimp and for some reason, the sausage never came around. Much of the meat was too salty for my taste, but I did enjoy several of them. My biggest complaint is that you only get end pieces. When I asked for another slice, they just cut off another end piece. I really wanted the pink, tender meat without the brown salty, end. And it definitely wasn’t very consistent. I asked for another slice of one of the sirloins, and he cut it from another piece of meat and it tasted completely different than the first one. My first piece of the Parmesan steak was very good and then the second one was super fatty and tough. I have to say that the meat that I did enjoy, I thought of for the rest of the night and the next day, too! I do look forward to going back there again.

Although I love Fogo De Chao and Texas de Brazil as well, I will say that Rodizio Grill takes more pride in their customer service! But their great customer service can be a little overwhelming at times. All the employees asked us SEVERAL times if everything was ok. I guess several times is better than NEVER. :-) Everything was fresh and tasted amazing! They serve good quality meat very frequently when your table item is on green/ go. They'll even ask if you would like a certain kind of meat for them to bring to your table. This location in particular stands out, I've dined at the location in Denver and they were not as consistent with their service. I brought my husband to this location for his birthday, quickly registered to their program, and his meal was on the house! I don't know of too many restaurants that do this so when I got the bill I was surprised. NOTE: I BELIEVE you have to purchase a meal and the birthday meal is free? So mine was purchased and his was free. :-)
