I normally really like this restaurant. My family and I have come five times in the past two months. Everybody is always excited. The last four times before yesterday were great. The sandwiches were always spot on. But yesterday something was different with the bread. Drastically different. Very dry and firm and not the normal soft hot bread you expect at fire house. I told Tom and he very quickly made a new one. But it was the same way. That’s when my family and I got frustrated. We weren’t mad and we didn’t want anything free but Tom had an answer for everything. Instead of being apologetic he simply acted defensive even when one of his regular customers confirmed what I was saying was true with her sandwich. All he did was try to shut us down and act like everything was perfect and did not want to hear what I had to say. I would’ve talked more to him afterwards but I’m not the type of person to make a huge deal in a restaurant over a sandwich and start an argument. He had every opportunity while we talked to try to make it right and his defensiveness made all of us not want to return to his store. I’m not saying the customer is always right. There are some real jerks out there. But to hear a concerned customer talk about a drastic difference in their product and not taking them seriously is not the sign of a good leader....
Read moreI’ve been a loyal Firehouse Subs customer for years and frequently order from this location to cater lunches for professional events. However, my recent experience was extremely disappointing.
I placed an online order and later realized that a gluten-free sandwich option wasn’t available through the system, so I purchased one separately when I arrived. Unfortunately, when I got to the event, that sandwich was missing from the bag. I called the store immediately, and instead of making it right, the manager, Renee, said they couldn’t refund me because I couldn’t come back to the store.
As someone who regularly supports this business and spends a considerable amount for catering, I expected better customer service and accountability. This experience has made me question whether I’ll continue ordering from this location in the future. I hope Firehouse Subs corporate takes a closer look at how this store handles mistakes and treats...
Read moreSad to say but we did not enjoy our sloppy sandwiches, poorly put together and lacked the proper ingredients in 2 of the 3 sandwiches. I'm not sure the staff has been properly trained in preparation of sandwiches. The staff was nice for sure but we were disappointed in the quality and flavor of the Firehouse subs. The turkey sub was ok, the Pep Pizza sub was made with the pepperoni spread across the top of the sandwich like a blanket, on top, not in the bread at all. The Zesty Hook had no garlic, one thin strip of onion and a tiny clump of turkey wadded up to one side. The meat couldn't be any thinner, you could see daylight through it. We have eaten here before and it's been OK. Just ok. Don't know if we'll return. Very disappointed. Can't give more than 3 stars. Giving that many because we know they...
