I'm very happy to report that the food at the Ooltewah location is just as delicious and well prepared as the food served at the Lee Hwy location, where I've legit been dining at for years. Unfortunately, the table service is no where even close here. I'm a pretty shy, nonconfrontational dude and I do my best to be generally understanding when dining out. I really do try not to bother my servers if at all possible, because I know they're very busy people. But after trying to get a refill on my water by doing the typical slight raise of my empty cup, or leaving it in highly visible areas of the table, I finally broke down and politely asked her for a refill (I was honestly quite thirsty after eating an entire meal, and only ever getting one small cup of water when we were first seated). After a little while she eventually came back over to our table ...with the check. So yeah... thats when I gave up and finally let all my hopes and dreams of any further hydration, quietly slip away into oblivion, and I handed her my card. While that interaction was unfortunate, it's still not my biggest frustration with the new location. This is the LOUDEST restaurant I've been to in a very long time. It's design aesthetic is floor-to-ceiling exposed wooden walls, with absolutely nothing to dampen any of the noise. Imagine the cacophony of the stock market floor. Now imagine it inside of an empty cracker barrel. Whatever ridiculous picture you've now painted inside your mind is EXACTLY the level of chaotic noise that you'll get to enjoy/endure during your dining experience at this new location. As much as I love me some delicious Molca (honestly can't recommend the in-house guacamole enough, it's truly perfection in a bowl!!) I'll definitely be sticking with the other location for now. I can usually still hear quite well during my visits there, and more importantly, I've never left that location feeling 100% thirstier than I did prior to arriving for my delicious...
Read moreWhile my husband and I find that Molka Xete has the best Mexican food near us we were extremely disappointed in the added hidden charges. I ordered a chimichanga and asked if I could have pork. The server said, “of course”. My husband ordered a combo meal with a tostada and burrito. He also asked for pork instead of chicken or beef ( no mention on the menu that this is ground beef btw). He also asked for some green sauce on the side. We enjoyed our meal and when we received our bill there were extra charges for the pork and green sauce. The pork was an extra $2.50 each and the three tablespoons of green sauce was an additional $2.00. Nowhere on the menu is any mention of up charges for pork or a charge for green sauce. In addition the waitress did not tell us the pork or sauce would cost us extra. This is not the way to run a business if you want to succeed. No one wants to see surprise charges on the bill after you’ve eaten. When we brought that to the attention of the waitress and manager they just said that’s what we always charge. They weren’t very open to the idea that at the very least the server should tell the customer that changes will cost extra. In all honesty, this should be plainly printed on the menu as well. It’s a shame they need to resort to sneaky practices because the food is really very good. They finally agreed to take the charges off our bill but having to go through a half hour of talking and waiting it really took the enjoyment out of...

New restaurant worth a visit...and return visits in the future. Promptly seated and served fresh, warm tortilla chips and tasty salsa. Nice variety of menu offerings; I was pleased to find many dishes offering shrimp as the protein. Service was friendly and attentive, and food was served quickly. Everyone at the table ordered chimichangas; the lunch menu offered smaller portions (at lesser cost), so two in our party ordered the lunch sized ground beef chimichanga... and commented on the generous portion size. I was excited to try the shrimp chimichanga...regular sized portion; it was stuffed with LARGE shrimp that had been nicely grilled before being wrapped in the chimichanga. We also enjoyed the chunky guacamole...very flavorful. Our only disappointment was that the restaurant, due to architectural choices, was very noisy; it seems to be a style choice for many Cambridge Square...
