Waffle House — Restaurant in Chattanooga

This is our go to place for this area when we want to go out for a bite to eat in the early morning hours when nothing else is open yet. 2am, 3am, there's not much left open at that time besides City Cafe, which I Do Love, but sometimes that's a bit to far to drive when ya don't really needa be driving. ;( So, Waffle house on 23rd St I Do like it. The staff is friendly, courteous, and are fast at makingcyour food. The only thing I have to complain about is them closing unexpectedly right after we get in their because of a lack of employees working.. There were only 3 people working & when they start getting busy they lock the doors and they told new customers they had just closed because some employees did not show up. Then they'd reopen after the crowd left. I know a lot of places are understaffed right now but its a given that some particular places like this one are definitely going to get slammed every night, with it being so close to extended stay hotels, East Lake Courts, the night clubs. Ya'll gotta get some more people working there in a hurry before the rest of them quit. They were already talking about it. :( We need our Waffle...

If I could rate half a star I would. After ordering pick up for an all-star meal, the order was purchased and assured of complete-ness at checkout. Needless the say this was false the waffle was missing. So after going back and calling ahead about the mishap they said they would replace it. This was fine because I wanted to order two more waffles. When I arrived they didn’t have any blueberries for my previous order or my new order. So I ordered original and peanut butter with a hash brown replacement for the blueberry waffle. They made my waffles and they weren’t even the whole size rather half. So they had to remake them. By this time I have been waiting for 40 minutes for a replacement and two waffles. And when they told me I could keep the other waffles in place of my wait, a waiter came and threw them in the garbage. I don’t like to write bad reviews and I love Waffle House but this got me...

My husband got off work and stopped to place his order around 11:45pm. I ordered a cheese steak omlet with extra cheese no peppers or onions and add mushrooms with a double order of very soft cooked bacon due to having 2 teeth just removed. The omelet was so messy and definitely not an omelet. On top of that there was so much grease in the container that I had to get napkins to soak it up. As I started eating, I found a long light colored hair in my omelet. Mind you my hair is really short and my husband doesn't have any. My husband asked for eggs over easy and got over hard, asked for grits with cheese and a side of hasbrowns, bit just got hasbrowns. I would much rather drive to fort oglethorpe to that waffle house.
