This location always frustrates me. This is my local Zaxby's and the one I usually order from. When things are right, the food is great. I love it.
The struggle with this one comes from the baffling inconsistency in quality of orders. Some days it's perfectly fine. A lot of the time they'll forget sauces, but that can easily be remedied so long as I remember to check. They're usually nice and apologize and all, and give me the sauces. Sometimes the fries don't really have any seasoning.
Sometimes, rarely, you get ones like today (3/31/25, ordered around 6:30, fulfilled at 7:00) that are just absolutely depressing. No sauces (i know they were in stock, there was literally a box of zax sauces next to my order), no seasoning on the fries (both of which called for extra by the way) whole thing is lukewarm at most, and they straight up gave me the wrong food for one of my items. I ordered two chicken finger plates and one big zax snack. I received two big zax snacks and one chicken finger plate. What I received at least had the correct sides and stuff, but jeez, this food is actually sad when it's in this state.
The wrong item wasn't that big a deal, those two menu items are very similar and it's only a loss of like 4-ish dollars, but I shouldn't have to roll the dice on whether or not I'm going to have a tolerable meal every time I want to go to a fast food restaurant. I don't like making a fuss about things like this but it's happened too often for me to keep ignoring.

The manager decided to mouth off to me in front of my boyfriend and the whole lobby when I objected to him charging my card multiple times. He explained nothing to me, just kept swiping my card over and over. He acted like I wasn’t even standing there. Mr. Manager—looking about 20 years old—said that the card machine was broken, but the charges were showing up on my bank account. Mr. Manager had the nerve to tell me that I wasn’t allowed to tell him what to do with my debit card. Actually, it’s my card, and you’re working in customer service.
I worked in the service industry for over 10 years before I graduated university and I never treated a single customer with such rudeness and misplaced authority. We waited at least 20 minutes to get our food on top of the nasty attitude from the manager. Then, we got in the car with our food and I found multiple hairs on my chicken. Really.
This was roughly 4 months ago, but my boyfriend and I still talk about it often, because it was our worst restaurant experience ever. We say “at least it’s not like that Zaxby’s” when another place is giving just okay service.
