When I moved to Hixson a little over a year ago, this was by far the best Zaxby's I had ever frequented. Sadly that has changed in the last four months. I spent over a decade working in the QSR industry and I have managed at every level of the business; because of this I very rarely complain. However, I'm breaking my general policy of silence regarding this location.
Four times now, in relatively close succession, I have been to this Zaxby's location, either alone or with my wife, and have received food that was sub-par to put it mildly. From chicken that was cold, to fries that were undercooked, to chicken that still had pink in it. I've always been polite and the management has always made it right. But there was a trend that was becoming apparent.
Today I stopped in the Drive Thru to pick up a five-piece chicken fingers plate. When I was handed the box at the Drive Thru, I thought it felt light, but I needed to be on my way, so I didn't check it then and thereāthat's my fault. When I got home, I discovered food that was barely above room temperature (it had to be microwaved for thirty-five seconds just to make it edible), and what's worse, there were only two chicken fingers to be found!
I'm frustrated over food quality that seems to be consistently trending downward, though that's something I could simply chalk up to time of day or a new employee. I'm livid with the fact that the employees (which are a reflection of management and ownership) can't manage to count correctly. On April 17th I was charged twice for my order due to an app issue and they still prompted me to enter the store and order in person, continuously reassuring me that the charges on my card for the previous two orders would not go through. So after two failed orders and one order in person, I was repeatedly assured that my $24.02 would be returned to me. It was not. About 2 weeks later I returned to the store and who I presume was a manager was condescending to me acting like I did not know how to check my own bank statement, repeatedly telling me that the pending charges would drop. I had told her several times at the charges were not pending and to have posted to my account but she continued to tell me that my pending charges would drop. Eventually, she implied I should file a dispute with the bank if I wanted the money back. She also told me that she would look into it and that she would follow up with me after taking my name number and email address. She stated that she did not have the ability to grant refunds, however the email correspondence I received stated that the stores are required to issue refunds, not the online service. I have not heard back from this store since. This company took $24.02 from me and will not...

Instead of GREETING a customer with the usual, "hi, welcome to xyz business, what can I get for you?", all she said was "go ahead with your order"...so I did, and was told that my order that always fluctuates between $7-8 depending on what city and state you are in was going to be $11 something....of course I squawked, and without a word of explanation she said she would fix it....so I finally make it to the window (the line was moving at a šš pace), and was told it would be $7.89...despite repeating my order and clarifying what I wanted multiple times, somehow when I pulled out my food, there was no wimpy sauce on my boneless wings, no extra seasoning for the French fries, and I ended up with a diet coke with ice instead of a sweet tea with no ice...after waiting in line for 15 minutes the first time, I wasn't about to go back for more punishment to try to fix every single item...
