Mimis Deli — Restaurant in Chattanooga

Great family style restaurant with a great atmosphere. Plenty of seating inside plus they have a patio to sit on that is covered, and more recently enclosed for winter. Their other tables range from a bar at the window, to high top circulars, and normal booths. Everything is made fresh to order so don't expect it to be at your table immediately but don't dread that it will take forever, they are reasonably quick. The French fries are always too hot to eat immediately which is a big plus. Lots of sandwiches and hotdogs plus lots of choices for your side dishes. Their hamburgers are always great. They also have homemade pickles available on a little bar that you can snack on. The staff comes through the seating area frequently, bringing out food but also clearing your table for you if you are done but just hanging out visiting. Just recently rearranged the entire dining room and order area including a separate to go order pickup window. There is parking in the back with an entrance in the back that makes entry and exit easy. We usually split an order of fresh cut fries and get the Cajun seasoning on the side, this way I get Cajun but my wife doesn't since she doesn't like...

I'm deeply upset with Mimi's. I'm very disappointed in them. They lie. They cheat their customers. They don't know what customer service is. For months, I've bought my low carb bread from them. It comes in on Fridays at 2. However, for weeks now, it hasn't. At all. And not by 6. And not on Saturdays. But when I went in this past Monday morning, they were all sold out of all 40-60 loaves. How did that happen? They're not open Sundays. Do they have a list of select customers they call when it gets in and screw the rest of us? When I complained a week or so ago, I was repeatedly told it comes in Fridays at 2. When I said it obviously doesn't, they said they've been having some delivery problems. No doubt. They took my wife's name and phone number a few weeks ago and promised to call her when it arrived. They never did. No apology. Nothing. They're jerks. When I called a few minutes ago yesterday, they said the bagels had come in but not the bread. I started complaining, and they hung up on me. I'm never going back to that store again. Really mediocre food with some bad practices that make it even worse. We tried it once and it wasn't good. Figured we'd give them another shot. That was a mistake. We ordered to go. The fries were placed in styrofoam and closed up. How do restaurants not understand what hot food does in styrofoam??? The heat creates condensation, the fries absorb the moisture and then become mushy. How do restaurants not get this??? We arrived early and our food was waiting on us. That was great except that it had been sitting in styrofoam and was all wet. The onion rings are absolutely tasteless. I mean zero flavor. I might as well have eaten paper. The deli burger was ok but honestly hard to tell because again the bread is soggy from the condensation. There wasn't a lot of flavor, very little seasoning is used if any.
