Iâve stayed at several Marriott properties, and this experience was by far the worst. It was around 4:30 PM when my 4-year-old grandson and I arrived to check in, despite having already done so through the app two days prior. Upon arrival, I was given a terrible room, and of course, I got the usual excuse: "We're at 90-95% capacity." I believe the staff memberâs name was Elaine or something similar. She informed me that my room wasnât clean but disappeared around the corner for a moment, only to return saying, "Oh, itâs clean, they just didnât mark it."||||We were given one of only two rooms located at the front of the hotel, right next to the pool and facing a busy street. My grandson was eager to get to the pool, but before we even changed into our swimwear, I had to grab some Lysol wipes and air freshener from my car to deal with the dirty smell lingering in the room.||||After swimming, we were ready to take a shower, but thatâs when I noticed the bathroom was filthy. Worse still, the previous guestâs dirty, disgusting towels were still there! I immediately went to the front desk to inform Elaine that the room had clearly not been cleaned and that we needed to move. She had the nerve to tell me they were at full capacity, housekeeping had gone home, but she could remove the dirty towels. I said, âNO MAâAM,â because if the roomâs cleanliness was already in question, we certainly werenât going to sleep on those sheets. I asked for a refund, as we were ready to leave.||||She then told me she couldnât process a refund without contacting her manager. After coming back later, she was busy stocking drinks with no concern for the situation. She mentioned I would be getting a refund, but as of now, my card still hasnât been credited back. I will be contacting the manager and escalating this issue until my refund is issued.||||Her response to my frustration was, "Oh, mistakes happen. I only saw that the bed was made." I told her it wasnât just about the bedâit was the way she handled everything. There was no offer to clean the room or any attempt to make things right. Instead, I was made to feel like I wasnât welcome there.||||Iâd like to believe it was just her poor attitude and not reflective of the hotel itself, but the whole experience left a terrible impression. I had to scramble to find another hotel with clean rooms. We wonât be returning, and I definitely wouldnât recommend anyone staying here with the uncertainty of whether the...
Read moreUNSTABLE STAFF MEMBER! My coworker and I stayed here for a business trip. After checking into our rooms, we headed to the elevator which was about 30~40 ft away from the check-in desk. While waiting for the elevator, I asked my co-worker why our travel coordinator(who booked the room), asked us not to mention that they were paid with a "company credit card". My co-worker said, "The guy at the front desk did ask for our company name, though. Doesn't make sense." Then the guy at the front desk starts asking us why we are talking about him when we are right near him and says that he heard us call him a dumbass. I tried to explain to the man that we were not talking about him and did not even say that word. I tried to explain what we were actually talking about, but he had no interest and stormed off. I then tried to explain the situation to the manager. She pretty much just said, "Oh, he'll be okay." Almost like this kind of thing happens often with this guy.
For Context: our travel coordinator sent us an email stating this, "It'd be helpful if you tell the front desk "credit card not present, on file" instead of "company credit card". "
Other than this one staff member who probably shouldn't be working in customer service, the...
Read moreI have stayed here twice now and have a third stay planned soon. The rooms are great. I usually dine out but the rooms are set up like a small apartment. They even have a full kitchen. If you needed an extended stay on a budget this would be perfect. Big bathrooms with big walk in showers. Only flaw I seen was they do not have a shower door or curtain just s glass wall that comes halfway acrossed. This leaves a good size opening. If the shower had good water pressure the bathroom would be flooded. Might be why it has that weak flow. The breakfast looked like it was pretty good from what I saw. The breakfast is usually not ready when I am leaving in the morning but I was running late. This hotel does NOT have coffee ready all the time that sucks when I am leaving out at 5:30 and have to go find it elsewhere when I donât even know where I am half the time.
Location is on a very busy 5-6 lane road hard to get into from opposite side of the road. There are a few places to eat in walking distance. They say you get a discount by showing your room card at the steak place behind the hotel but the restaurant acts like they donât know anything...
