I think my picture speaks volumes on my sandwich. Where is the meat?? Why so much mustard (on both sides of the bread)?? My husband placed a pick up order for our family and no chips were in the bag, so we walked over to grab some and a girl working there was talking under her breath loud enough for me to hear about myself and my kids. My husband loves this place because his company works nearby but I had the worst experience. He said he has never seen such a gross, disappointing sandwich. My kids sandwiches were saturated with mayo; it was soggy and ruined the bread. How sad!!

Now that's what I call a sandwich. The ingredients are of good quality, bread was perfectly toasted and they use a good high quality fresh baked bread which is vital. Fresh sliced meats and cheeses and the jam that came with my sandwich was pretty damn good. They were pretty busy when I went but got to my order pretty quick. If you need something fairly fast for lunch then this is the place to go! It was $15 for full size sandwich, drink and chips and they have a decent variety of chips and drinks. It looked fairly clean in there as well

Updating my review to 3 on food. This review is based on the #6 Turkey sandwich. They’ve started to use a different French bread (not the one pictured below) and it’s ruined the sandwich. Please switch back. Great deli…I always get the turkey with Swiss and it’s always loaded. Lots of cheese and turkey they don’t skimp. This time I ordered online via g maps and it was easy and efficient. Pickup was ready when they app said it would be. Great deli - every time I pass through Chelsea I get a bite here. A+

Had the worst experience here yesterday 8/30/24. My wife and I ordered lunch, sat down and patiently waited. About 40 minutes goes by and we start seeing people who ordered well after us get their food. So my wife goes up to inquire. First, we are lied to that the people we saw get their food ordered online. (we watched them order from the menu) Then we are told they never got our ticket, we showed our receipt and order. Then a group of employees huddle around the computer trying to to figure out how our order was missing. It's almost 3 o clock at this point so my wife just asks for the refund so we can go get food elsewhere. Finally get our money back and the staff member realizes we had our chip bag that was supposed to be with our sandwich (we ate most of them in the 40 minutes we waited for food.) She goes, well you have to pay for your chips. Lol. I was pretty blown away. No apologies, not a single offer to make anything right. Just you have to pay for your chips and about 8 staff members staring at us while we left. Been eating here over 20 years, more than likely...

I've been eating Mike's for over 20 years and I'll keep going back. I don't live in the area anymore, but I try to get a Mike's sandwich (#42) every time I'm in Chelsea. The ingredients are high quality. Prices are competitive when you take the quality of the food into account. The staff is friendly. Give a tip and you'll see! I love the mural on the wall highlighting Chelsea landmarks. If you go for the first time, you need to grab a menu (and maybe sit down) before you get in line. There's DOZENS of choices. Hours of operation are limited. Be sure to check to see if they're open. The only downside to going to Mike's Deli is finding a place to park. Parking in downtown Chelsea is HORRIBLE. There's a few of public parking lots but they're always full. Usually there's parking available in the public parking lot next to the library 2 blocks away. Be prepared to get your steps in. In summary, go to Mike's Deli and you'll get a great sandwich from great people for a great price. Just be ready to go through a gauntlet...

It's official, Mike's is no longer what it was. We've been eating there for years, our favorite Deli west of Zingerman's. Today, I was told they no longer have green peppers so my wife's Taylor Made would be without them. They didn't mention that the marinated mushrooms were also gone and we didn't notice until we got it home. My sandwich, a Renaissance, had to be made on Rye because they were out of sub rolls. I'll say that again, Mike's Deli was out of sub rolls. OK, I'll try it on Rye. I get home and then discover a large piece of prosciutto that is all fibrous tendon, completely unchewable. The sad thing is, we paid almost $20 for these two disappointments. So sad to see a Chelsea icon sliding...
