I was extremely impressed by my experience at Kyuramen. Because the place was mostly empty when we went, we were able to get a nice private booth with curtains. I adore the privacy and how you can’t see the other diners, and they can't see you. I feel that it lets you relax far more than when other people are watching.
The restaurant has white walls and curtains and pale wood decor for a clean, bright, minimalistic feel despite the lack of natural light in the booth. There's some music in the background, but not too loud. It's a very casual place, great for bringing kids or friends.
Onto the food: Amazing takoyaki, although to be fair, I haven't yet met a takoyaki ball that I didn't enjoy eating. The lobster and chashu balls came in something similar to pani puri, which was interesting. I found the mayo a bit strong and would have preferred some lemon to cut the fattiness a tad. This was my least favorite dish out of the ones we ordered, although my view of it would have been much better if there were no mayo (or mayo came separately/optionally) and we could drizzle some lemon juice on the lobster.
The pork bao buns were incredible. Soft, fluffy, melt-in-your-mouth buns with soft braised pork, and a delectable orange sauce with a bit of kick that I loved. The sauce seemed to be a slightly thinner version of spicy mayo. Whatever it was, I loved it.
For the mains, my friend and I each got the tonkatsu omurice combo, but with different sauces. For each of us, the omurice was prepared perfectly. The tonkatsu (fried breaded pork) was extremely crunchy and crispy (as it should be!), which paired perfectly with the curry sauce. The fried rice was a bit plain and not my favorite texture, but nothing that rolling it around in the sauce couldn't fix.
The curry sauce I got was amazingly flavorful and left me wanting more. It was simply incredible. I didn't prefer my friend's demi-glace sauce, but they enjoyed it, so win-win.
One thing to keep in mind is that the omurice dish is massive. I'm quite sure one tonkatsu omurice could feed two hungry people, or three not-so-hungry people. If you're getting appetizers with a friend, I'd highly recommend getting one omurice to share instead of the two separate ones my friend and I got. It's even more impressive when you consider that the tonkatsu omurice (without dessert) is $22; it's truly an astonishing amount of food. My friend and I barely managed to finish our plates, and we were too full to try dessert. But the food was truly delicious.
Onto service: Because of the booths, you can’t signal to staff as you would normally, so there's a call button if you need anything, although our water always got filled up soon enough anyway, and we never needed the button. The staff do check on you regularly, but not to an intrusive level, which I deeply appreciate. The food comes out extremely quickly, which I'm sure all hungry diners will appreciate.
We had two servers, one clearly quite new and one more experienced. Still, both were very kind and courteous, and we had no problems ordering or anything else. I appreciate how friendly and kind all the staff were; the environment was very welcoming, and I'd love to come back again to try the ramen options.
The total without tips was $76.73 for the two of us. Given that we likely would have ordered only one appetizer between us if we'd known how big the tonkatsu omurice would be, I think you could reasonably expect to pay $20-$30 per person and still leave very full....
Read moreWe came here on the 22nd of December so you can already assume everyone is out and about after holiday shopping, place was moderately busy and I can only assume this place can get packed at times the food is absolutely delicious so i would recommend doing what we did and call ahead to see what the wait times will be like and possibly reserve ahead of time. Location is easy to find and to get into and there is plenty of parking. (This place is in a shopping center so assume that busy times like lunch and dinner will be busier - plan accordingly) Now for food We ordered the #1 Tokyo Tonkotsu Shouy. Ramen Black Garlic option and got an extra bowl to share, this comes super quick like literally right after your drinks so if you share this with people this is like an awesome appetizer but it is amazing just as entree! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND ORDER THIS i'm not a really a ramen guy but im a fan of this it’s extremely savory - drank from the bowl like i was in an anime
Appetizers wise
we ordered the Chicken Bao Buns and Popcorn chicken and the Yakitori Platter. Chicken Bao Buns have an awesome spicy sauce and some great seasonings to pair with - that being said it is a tad spicy but nonetheless absolutely amazing. Popcorn Chicken is perfect, well seasoned and crispy - flavor speaks for itself, lovely sharing option as well. Yakitori platter comes with a chicken, beef, scallop, pork and zucchini platter and the beef was absolutely to die for. The whole platter was delicious. Everything is seasoned and grilled to perfection.
Drinks Amazing Lemonade - Lemonade with cucumber water nothing to much on this but its flavor is good and refreshing as hell Thai Ice Tea - Pleasant surprise i would definitely recommend this especially if you like boba options , it's just smooth and calm enough to not kill any of the flavors of whatever you order. Try this out for sure.
Entrees - Now i feel like this is what everyone comes for despite the name of this place. The Omurice - this is awesome please order this with the demi glacé sauce. This is one of the only places around south jersey that sells this and i promise you this place does it justice, they cut it in front of vou and give it a slight presentation. This is one of the only places around south jersey that sells this and i promise you this place does it justice, they cut it in front of you and give it a slight presentation. This is dish is my absolute favorite and i will come back again and again for it. Overall this place is worth every penny, the service is probably the best ive ever had you are - constantly checked on but not to the point where is annoying staff is helpful with suggestions and will answer any questions you may have. they are also very open to nutritional changes. 10/10 would recommend for a quick bite to eat or an...

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5)
As a lover of Japanese cuisine, I couldn't resist visiting Kyuramen in Cherry Hill, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I stepped inside, the inviting aroma of ramen filled the air, instantly transporting me to the bustling streets of Japan.
The ambiance at Kyuramen is cozy and welcoming, with traditional Japanese decor that adds an authentic touch to the dining experience. The staff greeted me with warm smiles and promptly seated me, ensuring I felt comfortable from the start.
Now, let's talk about the star of the show—the ramen. Kyuramen offers an extensive menu of ramen varieties, each crafted with care and precision. After much contemplation, I settled on their signature Kyuramen Special Ramen, and it was a revelation.
The broth was rich, flavorful, and impeccably balanced. It had the perfect blend of savory and umami notes, leaving a delightful aftertaste that lingered long after the meal. The noodles were cooked to perfection—springy and firm, just the way I like them.
What truly impressed me was the assortment of toppings that adorned the ramen bowl. From succulent chashu pork and marinated soft-boiled eggs to crisp bamboo shoots and fragrant green onions, each element added layers of texture and taste to the dish.
For spice enthusiasts, Kyuramen offers a range of chili oil and spice blends that you can customize to your liking. I couldn't resist adding a dash of their house-made spicy chili oil, which elevated the dish to a whole new level of deliciousness.
Apart from the exceptional ramen, Kyuramen also offers an array of appetizers and sides that are worth trying. The Gyoza, perfectly pan-fried to a golden crisp, were a delightful accompaniment to my ramen, and I found myself savoring every bite.
The service at Kyuramen was top-notch, with attentive and friendly staff who were knowledgeable about the menu. They gladly answered my questions and provided recommendations, enhancing the overall dining experience.
In terms of pricing, Kyuramen offers great value for money. Considering the generous portion sizes and the quality of the ingredients, the prices are quite reasonable.
Overall, Kyuramen is a gem in Cherry Hill, providing an authentic taste of Japan through their delectable ramen offerings. Whether you're a ramen aficionado or new to this delightful dish, Kyuramen is a must-visit for anyone seeking a flavorful and satisfying dining experience.
