Unfortunately, I had a pretty disappointing experience with Michaelangelo's today. Went in in the late afternoon a little before 4 pm. The parking lot was empty and I only saw one patron at a table when I walked in so I assumed service would be quick. Ha. Immediately upon entry I got the sense that there was some level of discomfort or confusion with my presence. Not sure why. I placed an order for a grilled chicken wrap and some fries. Also said I'd grab a water when the food came out and then I took a seat near the window. And then...I waited. Five minutes goes by...10 minutes go by...nearly 15 minutes or so go by and I look up from my phone at the staff in the pizzeria kitchen. Nothing seems to be happening. Now, I definitely assumed that it would take less than 10 minutes to make the wrap and fry some fries, right? There are six employees present including three right in front of me in the kitchen. I see a paper bag on the side near the register and ask the man who looks to be in charge if that's mine. He picks it up, looks inside, and asks me what I had. I tell him. He says something I can't make out and so I assume it's not my food and keep looking at my phone. Another five or so minutes go by and he tells me my food is ready. Shocker--he passes me what appears to be the bag that I asked about earlier. Now some of this could be excused if the food was great. It was not. Literally seemed as if not even salt and pepper were added to the chicken or fries, let alone anything else (garlic, even?). I will say the young girl who handled the register was nice and the guy who seemed to be in charge seemed nice when I first arrived but all the other staff completely ignored me, including a woman who put a place setting at my table (in preparation for dinner service) while I was sitting there. Needless to say, I'll go elsewhere next time.

The food was extremely expensive, took forever to come out, and was absolutely delicious. Apps were all $10+ like sauteed mushrooms, for almost $13. Calamari fritto was closer to $15. Entrees all in the $20-$40 range. We were with a large group, and it was pretty busy, so that probably held things up in the kitchen. After we were all seated, bread came out a half hour later. Then the apps another half hour after. Then eventually soup and salad, and finally the entrees. So from sitting down to getting entrees, it was well over two hours. Just about everything I tried was made very well. The sauteed mushrooms weren't particularly special (especially for the price,) but the calamari was cooked perfectly. Not chewy or overdone in the slightest. Possibly the best I've ever had. Also the bread. Garlic bread was alright, but the bread underneath was wonderful. Just, the best, most delicate, pull apart in your mouth delicious bread I've had in a very long time. I ate it as-is, no butter or anything. (Later realized the butter was buried in the bottom of the bread basket.) It did start to get stiff when it cooled, so it wasn't nearly as enjoyable. Make sure to go after the rolls while they're still hot. I got the veal saltimbocca, which was incredible. Very salty and filling, but the meat was tender and everything was flavorful. I got it over fettuccine, and for some reason, their fettuccine noodles were extraordinarily large, to the point I was wondering if I was misremembering what fettuccine looks like. Very odd, but didn't really detract from the meal. Overall, a great high class restaurant, if you're not in any kind of rush, and possibly, if someone else is paying the bill. I also snagged pictures of a few other plates at the table, including veal francese, penne vodka, and a stromboli.

I really hate leaving this review as I’ve ALWAYS loved them and their food and I’m hoping last night was just an off night because they were busy and had a party of 8 right next to us. But, one of the bus boys took my fork while taking the bread plates so when we eventually got our food 45 minutes later I had to then wait for another fork of which I had requested more bread way before that. My fiancés penna vodka with chicken was great. However, my chicken Marsala was dry as can be along with the actual chicken. Your marsala is normally moist and swims in your sauce. But not tonight. Very disappointing. Again, hopefully just a bad night.

rude business owner answered the phone about a simple mistake upon ordering online. All that was wanted was to simply cancel the order and reorder the correct item and all that was received was the extremely rude business owner asking “what do you want me to do???” “What???” “Am I making this or NOT???” In the most aggressive and rude tone to a customer. Another thing is as I was trying to cancel the order with grub hub he said he can cancel it on his side and what he meant was not making my food that I ordered. Even after I told him that they wont let me cancel. If i didn't call back my delivery Driver would of never received my food. Also, What I wanted to order was MORE money anyways and yet all I got was rude backlash for simply trying to switch my order. Sometimes people seem to forget we are the customers and making us feel horrible about a simple mistake is not a great business practice. While a mistake was made upon ordering the food that does not warrant extremely rude and aggressive behavior especially when I was being extremely kind and courteous...
