I gave 3 stars, but it's more 3.5. And there's a reason for it as you will discover soon later on in this review. Now, once again, like most AYCE locations, the reviewers who gave 5 stars, is because of their lack of experience with much higher quality locations. I feel 3.5. is fair and accurate. Now from the outside you would think, "Did I come to the right place?" Because it doesn't look very appealing, but once you step inside, it has a cute dining area, and it is very clean. Now for the main part. The quality of the fish used for their sushi is not up to par compared to most of its competitors. Actually, they fall very short. The only sushi that was worth ordering again was their Unagi, which is the freshwater Eel, and their Salmon. Their Salmon sashimi and nigiri were actually pretty good. Now why did I give 3.5 despite the overall quality of the fish being poor? Reason #1 As some of you may know, the majority of AYCE locations in the Tri-State area are owned by Chinese people. That being the case, the majority of AYCE Sushhi locations offer the same service you get at most $10 Chinese buffets. No smiles. No communication. No serving. This is where Mr Sushi differed for me. The service at Mr Sushi exceeded the service of most other AYCE locations, which you can tell by my reviews, I have been to many. I, am a rule, will always choose decent food and great service, over delicious food and horrible service. The waitresses at Mr Sushi are awesome! But their food quality does need to improve. Reason #2 Their green tea, red bean, and chocolate ice cream are amongst the best I've ever had from buffets and AYCE locations. The prices of gas and tolls makes it a difficult trip to make, but only if the fish quality improved, I would make it bi-weekly. There is no separate lunch menu as the same menu is served all day. If you were planning on making a trip, here is what you should order: Eel Nigiri Salmon Nigiri and Sashimi Japanese Sausages Pork Ramen Noodles Beef Teriyaki Beef Yakitori Shrimp Tempura (a must) Crab Tempura Spider Roll Pork Buns Chinese Donuts ALL THEIR ICE CREAM! As I drove back to PA and crossed the bridge and paid my hefty toll, I could only think "What could have been...."

If you want an honest review... Look no further. Been coming here a little over a year... The food is normally pretty good. Especially for an all-you-can-eat place. You would think it was a Chinese buffet type sushi, but it's actually on a scale of 1 to 10 anywhere from a 6 to an 8 depending on the day. Everything I've tried so far has been pretty decent except for today when I ordered a Philadelphia roll... And every single piece of the sushi provided had extreme bones. Crunchy unedible... Someone didn't fillet them and just slapped it together. Was not deboned whatsoever.. So just be on the lookout. All the appetizers are pretty delicious. BUT... Here's two things that you need to look out for when eating here. 1.. keep track of what you order and the amount of what you order because every time I've come here throughout the entire year they conveniently forget multiple things that I've ordered. For instance, if I wanted to order two orders of edamame, only one order would come out. If we wanted three orders of chicken hibachi, only one order would come out. So far I believe they purposely do this... To see if they can get away with it. 2... The server that I have included in the pictures is very unfriendly. She makes you feel like you're ruining her day by coming in to eat. She wasn't even my server...but she stalked my table for the hour I was there, commented on the amount of food ordered, made jokes about it to the sushi chefs, and made the entire table feel uncomfortable. Wish she actually WAS my server today, so I could have have tipped her NOTHING. The man that served on me was great, but she ruined the experience. She makes you feel like your a fat animal and it's feeding time at the zoo. She shouldn't work here.

Long story short, overall the food was good but the service went from extremely quick to extremely feet draggingly slow. The prices went up so don't trust what you see in Google, ask first when you call or come in. And loved that they had bubble tea (didn't get but it looked good. Sorry the pics are a Lil sad, I usually take them right away but was starving and forgot most of the time. Now the full story: When we got there, it was just two of us and we were seated right away.bthey were a bit busy but not packed. We immediately chose out apps and they got us water and wine glasses. I asked for no ice but they brought it with but no big deal. The appetizers came really fast, we were surprised and happy. We ordered out rolls. About 45mins passed and we are wondering what's going on. When the table next to us gets theirs and they came after us we asked. She checks and it was just sitting there at the sushi station. Thankfully it was still a bit warm. We now order dessert (donuts & ice cream) again another 30-40 mins...we call someone again and she says no donuts (multiple times) and calls someone to tell us the same. We kept telling her it's fine, we just want the ice cream. Another 15m we get out ice cream. And she apologized and said she gave us Xtra big scoops andeavws the check. We left it with the card in and it's another long 30m wait, we get ready to just hand it to someone. I wanted to be patient but all that was ridiculous...

our experience here was very disappointing, as a frequent customer from here. for some reason, the day we went was a bit busy but we got a table for six right away when we came in. we are a pretty big group so we did order a good amount of sushi for the ayce, and we ended up waiting a good 40+ minutes for the first order to come. i did ask a server about the wait time and they responded with “you guys ordered too much food they’re preparing for you” when it was clearly not being prepared. at the same time, another group (5 top) arrived 20 minutes after us and received a plate of sushi before us. we although did get our appetizers really fast but we ordered a good six rounds of appetizers because we were all starving. we didn’t order complex rolls, just sushi and sashimi cuts. after asking about the whereabouts about my food (i expected at least an apology) they started to seem a bit irritated at our table, ignoring us when we tried to get their attention, slamming plates on our table. one waitress poured two glasses of water at our table and upon giving my cup to her to pour, she left and never came back though seeing my empty cup. this experience was really disappointing for some mediocre sushi.

while the prices may be good, do come on a slower day! this happened on a tuesday evening , and it was a bit crowded inside so i would understand if their service wasn’t up to par but it was just very disappointing coming from a pretty regular sushi eater.

p.s. they ended up apologizing way later on about...
