I stepped into this place after work wanting to get a meal for my 4 grandkids son and his wife, I read reviews and they looked pretty good.so I ordered 3 kids steak burritos with rice and 4 plates of Carna Sada plates I paid 71 bucks and got all the way home to no food for the kids 4 very smell plates of a little tough meat (leather) 2 tablespoons of nasty bland rice, refried beans about a tablespoon, half of a grilled onion and one whole jalapeño wrapped with bacon. Then a side dish of a lot of lettuce a dab of cream with Pico de gallo. The waitress didn’t even write down what I ordered she wobbled to the back moving a snails speed and she didn’t even turn in the correct order, I called to complain telling him I won’t be back. He said okay have a nice day. Will NOT RECOMMEND this place, if you want good authentic Mexican food try El lorro or Plaza Azteca or hell even 3 Amigos beats this place when it comes to portions, taste and not a waste of your...
Read moreWe were down this way for a curiosity Faire at the conference center and after roaming around checking this at the conference center hubby got the hangry pains. I already knew he wanted Mexican so after a cursory Google search we found Agave Azul. Other reviews made it sound like a place to try out.
Hubby had his go to of chori Pollo and I decided to go with chicken fajitas. Both of our chicken meals were tender and flavorful. Hubby is a man of few words so all I got out of him was "it was good." My dinner portion fajitas had so. Much. Chicken. I just wish there had been more veggies.
All in all a great meal for $50. Hubby had a margarita, I had a Fanta orange and a Mango Jarrito, cheese dip and our entrees.
The interior was clean, quiet and for a time, it was just him and I. It was very hot outside and the temp inside quite comfortable.
We'd try them again if we're ever back...
Read moreLiterally one of the best spots for Birria !! The consumé was perfectly seasoned!! The carnitas were moist and so tender. The shrimp quesadilla was filled with perfectly cooked shrimp and fresh sauteed veggies!! All accompanied salads were made with vibrant veggies and fresh avocado!!! The Horchata was spiced perfectly. Strawberry Horchata!!!!, if you haven't had it , you need too. The Paloma was served in an adorable clay pot within tajin to garnish the rim.!!! We also ordered Pupusa, which were slightly over cheesy to me but the taste and authenticity was def there. I would recommend this place ten times over compared to the other "Mexican" restaurants in the area. Now I will say, which could be a problem for some, fortunately we spoke the language, but our waitress spoke no English. Other than that TRY THIS PLACE !!!...
