Tucked back in the small aza next to Lowe's I didn't really know what to expect, but I was so impressed after my first visit and I can't wait to go back. The space was clean and modern there was great instrumental music aying the in background. The space has about a dozen tables total, most 4 seater with one long table and a group of comfy looking couches, the middle of the room has one long bar with lots of stools. We were in on a Wednesday night and it was quiet, but all the better for us. We talked with the owner Julie, and she had us try about 9 different wines. The collection was extensive and had wines from places I'd never even heard of before (Turkey makes wine?). She really wanted to be sure we found something we liked before we ordered a glass. We enjoyed a number of the wines, and getting to taste so many was great (and complimentary). We were planning on just drinking one glass a piece ($2 off on this night) but ended up enjoying one so much we bought the bottle to share ($5 off bottles). I think the price reductions are for their happy hour from 4-6. Julie was incredibly knowledgeable and super nice. We didn't try any food, but they do have a small menu with 3 sandwiches and a bunch of snacks (cheese and meat plates with wine pairing recommendations). They also serve beer and cider. We can't wait to go back and try something new, she did tell us that the selection is always changing, so we're excited to get a totally new experience next time we're in. I highly recommend visiting for a glass of wine, or the whole bottle, the atmosphere is very casual and not stuck up or stuff like...
Read moreThe food was incredible--I'm just going to get that on the record right now. Just go and find out for yourself. Smoked duck and pimento, flatbread with goat cheese and prosciutto...all amazing. And none of the wines was mediocre. Server's knowledge of the wines was quite good.
The only real room for improvement was that the ambiance felt a little sterile. Would have liked to have experienced a bit more of a homey feel, especially in January. For a place that's been open for several years, I just expect a bit more character and warmth. Music playlist was perfect, though. Very laid-back yet elevated atmosphere.
Overall, I can't wait to come back. The food alone was so good it almost warrants a fifth star, but I just can't overlook the fact that my wife and I both thought the place felt a...
Read moreVery good experience, just maybe a little pricey for what it is, and maybe a touch understaffed. Definitely plan on taking advantage of their discount days if you can, eg $10 flatbread Tuesdays or $22 wine flight Wednesdays, which are sometimes on offer, check their Facebook for listings. We benefitted from $6 martini Thursday. Price aside, a lot of fun and unique food and drink options in an atmospheric venue! Absolutely loved the pumpkin spice White Russian and caramel apple martini! Thoroughly enjoyed our wine flights as well, generous pours on their flights. Peachy Beachy flatbread and Savory Blueberry duck pretzel roll were both delicious, if a little amateur, while lemon blueberry marscapone cake and caramel apple cheesecake are both...
