Waffle House — Restaurant in Chesapeake

Terrible customer service and unimpressive food! When we walked in, no greeting, no one acknowledged anyone, no one seating ppl or cleaning tables and a bunch of people standing waiting to be seated.. people kept having to ask for them to clean a table for them to sit or had to sit at a dirty table for it to get cleaned. Order wasn’t taken or called out right by the manager, which is even more embarrassing.. waffles were crunchy.. even after sending the first one back for being too hard, next ones were still the same. People kept walking out because they hadn’t been acknowledged or were forced to sit at a dirty table that no one came over to clean much less take an order.. it was crazy. Like several families got up and left and if we weren’t tight on time we would have done the same. Even crazier because it was more than adequately staffed.. like packed with staff, 3 cooks, and at least 6 servers that could barely get around each other but no one was taking initiative to clean a freaking table .. it was so bizarre. They all looked miserable.. the grill cook actually looked like he was having a panic attack at one point. and the mgr was just letting it all happen. Never again will our family go to this location.. No one cared that ppl were walking out or frustrated with the lack of service. Then to top it off we were overcharged because our waiter didn’t know the right prices. Yea just don’t.. this is hands down the worst Waffle House I’ve been to.. go to any other location or breakfast spot...

Where to begin ! I visited here with my significant other on a road trip from North Carolina on august 6th. When walking in we were told to sit anywhere 3 tables were open at the time , 2 filled with trap and never cleaned and the one we chose hadn’t been wiped down at all with two dirty napkins. We proceed to order and our waitress seemed very rude , not only us but two other tables I noticed had to get up and go to a table behind them to get any condiments such as salt and pepper or anything of the such , when we received our food it was a little at the time , we then realized we never received our meat of choice which was bacon and by this time the waitress brought us our check and we kindly let her know still with an attitude just said will I’ll take it off your ticket and walked away , she was wearing a black bandana over her head and proceeded to go whisper to what I believe was her friend or manger with red streaks in her hair and a very short white girl right in front of us at the counter ( we were at the booth which was in front of it ) and they kept glancing and staring while whispering , also while we received our waffle she began to walk away , when she came back I asked if we could have butter and syrup and she responded quickly I’m sure and brought that and countinued an attitude, I will never eat here again and am sure I will let all friends and family and va and north...

The women staff at this location are so rude!The heavy heavy set white blond and the heavy heavy set female manager were so unpleasant! The customer service was horrible, the establishment was dirty every table was dirty.The staff took their sweet precious time to clean off the table’s to the point I was tempted to clean my own table. I asked the waitress if I could have plastic instead of silverware and she rolled her eyes at me and gave me nothing but attitude and I was so respectful and kind to her. I let it go after that,I asked if she could “Wipe my table off please” and she gave me even more attitude and whispered to her manager and they both laughed. A really nice lady came in while we were still there and she and her young Grandbaby got the same treatment, To the point she got up and left. Before she left I asked what was wrong, which I already knew. I could see it all over her face. Luckily she was able to get everyone’s names. I hope she contacts corporate and write a review as well. The service was so horrible.I asked for another waiter and I got one and he was very nice. The only two people that were nice and apologetic was the the older gentleman who does the cooking and a black younger guy with dreadlocks. I do not like going by race or color but I didn’t get anyone’s names. The worst Waffle House worst...
