April 17, 2025: Well, we tried it again. Fantastic experience!!! Our server, Samantha, was outstanding. The overall experience was great and Samantha was a huge contributor to that.
Be sure to try the strawberry lemonade and the burgers are HUGE!!!
Opening Day: We really, really wanted to like this place. Unfortunately, I’m not sure we will be going back.
Now, in all fairness, this is a brand new restaurant that opened two days ago. They had a lot of staff available and many of them were at the front door greeting guests as they entered. The staff were upbeat and excited to be open. The overall atmosphere reminded us of a sports bar that was playing music/music videos. However, the volume on the music was way too loud. Seriously, we couldn’t even talk to each other. We were the only ones in our section and asked if they could turn it down. (The server said it wasn’t the first request for the volume she had received.). The volume was turned down a little. We liked the music and it was great seeing some of the older videos - it was just too loud!
We started our meal with queso dip. It was quite good. After placing our entree orders, we decided the “33” in the restaurant name was to acknowledge how long it takes to get your food. Considering it wasn’t busy when we arrived/ordered, it did take quite awhile.
Pizza, shrimp and chicken tenders and fish and chips were the entrees ordered. The portions were all very large. The shrimp and chicken tenders were very good. The French fries were not hot, but were seasoned and had good flavor. The fish was good, but was described as a little spicy - as was the tartar sauce. The Meaty Meaty pizza was too salty - not sure if it was the bacon or what. The crust was heavily seasoned and flavorful. I asked for extra cheese, but don’t think I got it. (We weren’t charged for it.)
The fish and chips arrived to the table with the fries and the requested side substitution of mashed potatoes and gravy. However, the server indicated that she didn’t hear the other substitution of cole slaw for the fries. She did remedy the situation, but if the servers can’t hear over the music there are going to be a lot of mistakes.
Unlike its sister restaurant (Texas Roadhouse), there is hardly anywhere to stand/sit if waiting for a table. I think in a post-COVID world they are going to rely heavily on their app and waitlist.
Maybe we will try it again in a few months. Like I said, we really, really...
Read moreI thought with the parking lot so packed that it may be a while before we could be seated, but I was wrong. I went online to be added to the waitlist and before I could make it in from the far back of the parking lot they had texted me they have a table ready. Amazing!🤩 They immediately seat me and my husband and then we see waitstaff pass us but never stop. I started to get discouraged. 🫤 Finally a young man stopped, greeted us and took our beverage and food order. He stated that our waitress was busy at the moment and that he was helping her. When he went to put our order in he came back pretty quickly to let me know they did not have any spinach dip that u had ordered for appetizer. So I ordered their fried mozzarella sticks. They were good and curly.🤭 He was superb but when our waitress came over to introduce herself she repeated what we ordered with the young man, and disappeared for a bit. I did order one of their special drinks 🍹 and it was good. But I didn’t want to ruin my appetite. When our food came by a different server, it was delicious. 😋 My husband got a Cheeseburger 🍔 and I got 🌺 Hawaiian pizza 🍕. Our server came by and asked if we needed anything, so I let her know we needed extra napkins. She came back with cocktail napkins. I was surprised but I was like, they will work. Once we were done we waited for her to come back by. It took a while. When she checked on us she asked how we were, I let her know I needed a box for my pizza. And she asked how we were going to pay, cash or card? They have the little kiosk on the table to pay with card. Very convenient. It took her some time to bring me a box and she also brought my husband a refill as we are getting ready to leave. I’m confused on that. Why didn’t she bring him that during the dinner? The food was great, our particular waitress was not the best. She was definitely distracted. If we had kept the young man with his great communication skills and friendliness the rating would have been better. I would still recommend this place and say this is better than fast food any day of...
Read moreI have never written a review before but I’m definitely taking time out my day to write this review. I went into Bubbas today and was so disgusted by the food and behavior of this restaurant. My server was amazing tho. I ordered a steak well done , which my steak came out overcooked. It had a nasty burnt taste with a crunchy texture. I was disgusted by the taste so I asked my server if I was allowed to change my meal. I was told I could and I give her a replacement meal. A few minutes later a man( which was a manager but didn’t know at the time because he didn’t introduced himself which is very rude) approached me and asked me what the problem was I told him exactly what I told my server, he responds with okay I’ll go check on that for you. A 2nd person walks over and says we aren’t giving you a replacement because we feel as if we cooked the steak properly which is an opinion because I am the one that has to eat and pay for that overcooked steak. I really didn’t like his attitude or demeanor so I asked for 2nd person. I then got the same manager from the first encounter that never introduced himself. He then tells me the same thing so I then asked if it could at least get it remade. He then says that’s not Bubbas policy & it’s just your taste buds you shouldn’t have ordered it which is very rude and unprofessional. If he knew that I wasn’t allowed to replace or get my food remade he should have corrected that the first encounter we had , I shouldn’t even have been told I could replace my steak at all if it’s not Bubbas policy. It was so overwhelming and disappointing that I was getting treated in that manner. It was so unprofessional and unorganized. I had to pay for a meal that I had to leave on the table. I don’t understand why they tell people “If you’re ever unsatisfied, please let a member of our management team know before you leave the restaurant. We’re happy to fix any issues brought to our attention.” if they treat people like that and not even try to fix the issues. Management definitely needs more training on how to deal with...
