I hadn’t been to Red Lobster in years, honestly it never appealed to me. However being my wife’s and mother in law liked to eat there I tagged along. The menu had improved since I last visited it was an appealing menu. However I wanted to keep it simple and decided on the fried flounder, loaded baked potato and salad. My wife had the never ending shrimp which she decided on the scampi and salad and shrimp fettuccine. Mother in law had baked potato and shrimp scampi. Well it arrived in a timely manner and the waitress was nice and polite. Immediately I dug in the potatoes and noticed I had 2 potatoes instead of 1 as did my mother in law. Waitress stated the potatoes were small so they gave us 2, I was really happy bout that, however I suddenly noticed before the first bite that there was a long black strand of hair in my potato mixed good with the bacon bits, butter and sour cream. I almost retched, I started on the second potato but I stopped and decided everything needed to go back. The waitress apologized, I opted for fries this time instead of baked potatoes. Well I my wife began in the scampi another piece of hair was found all mixed in the scampi butter sauce, SMH, we was floored the same person hair was in both our food and was likely not properly wearing a head cover. I immediately requested a manager he seemed not interested and apologized and turned around and departed, we promptly got up and departed as well. I’m sorry Red Lobster fans but I’m taken aback by the lack of concern or empathy for the customer I will never ,never ever return to Red Lobster BTW, I’m bald head and my wife has a bun and mother in law was wearing a hat. Update The management sent a email, Dear Raymond: Thank you for sharing your comments about Red Lobster. Your feedback is always welcome. We are concerned about your experience regarding our Chesapeake, VA restaurant and appreciate you letting us know about it. To respond more personally, our Director of Operations will be in contact with you by January 29, 2024. After speaking with our Director, we hope you plan to give us another opportunity to serve you. We realize that delighted guests are the key to our success and we want to continue being your choice when dining out. Sincerely, Taylor I have yet to receive a return email or callback! Update. I received another email stating they will be contacting me. Feb 9th, I have not been contacted. Dear Mr. Rios: I am sorry to hear that you have not spoken with our manager. I have reached out to our leadership team and requested that you be contacted as soon as possible. Thank you again for reaching out to Red Lobster, we enjoy hearing from our guests. Sincerely, Tammy NEW UPDATE Dear Raymond: Thank you for sharing your comments about Red Lobster. Your feedback is always welcome. One of the principles of which we are most proud is our managers' commitments to providing our guests with superior dining experiences. It is obvious from your email why our manager at the Chesapeake, VA location would leave you questioning this commitment. We apologize our manager was not more understanding of the situation. The safety and well-being of our guests is of the utmost importance to us. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience you suffered. Our Director of Operations will use this opportunity to review our safety guidelines with our restaurant team. As a gesture of goodwill and our desire to continue serving you, you'll be receiving a separate email with an e-gift card to use towards a future visit. I told Jalecia I had to leave her a review so I’m just keeping my word. One of your staff members Jalecia was absolutely amazing when we stopped in after along sad day at the hospital. She first took our names down on the phone upon arrival there was a slight waiting time that she assured not only us but all the customers with a smile on her face that the wait won’t be long and it wasn’t at all. Partly just because of her attitude and ability to control a hectic work time with smile on her face. Then when being seated she took it upon herself to get us our drinks and bread knowing that we had been waiting. After arriving with our bread she took our order and that’s when I knew I had to leave her a review. Not once did she show an ounce of frustration or anger for the hectic situation and bad work day she might have been having. You guys at the Chesapeake Red Lobster have the kind of worker that changes a working environment. She’s the do it all type that motivates those around her whether it be a big or small task Jalecia is awesome! I’d do everything in my power to make sure she knows how much she’s appreciated. For me I’ll always remember her and her great service on 2/10/23 because my family and I weren’t in a good spirits but she made that meal special just with the way she treated us as customers. So thank you again Jalecia!!

Read the reviews as I sat waiting for a "Text" on our personal cell phone from Red Lobster to notify that our table was ready to be seated. Reviews stated as a "hit or miss" Red Lobster restuarant. Looking around the waiting room there was random pieces of trash on the floor near the Greeting guest station. What employees that passed by the trash ignored it. As well as VISIBLE dust and fingerprints on wood surface of guest station. Covid regulations in play, NO MASK NO SERVICE. Social distancing seating in waiting/ dining area. When seated looking around the dining area was seemingly clean. Janoria was the server assigned to the section at the time. She is awesome, "on the ball" an asset for that Red Lobster. Everyone else looked and vibed as though they did not want to be there. Understandable to a point however Janoria rose above the negative vibe from her co workers. She was attentive and greeting even though our food seemed to take some time. However, it was hot and yummy except for the quinoa/ rice side it was dry and no quinoa was present, it was wild rice. The brussel sprouts are heavenly if you love this veggie. My Trio of salmon, lobster and shrimp was yummy. Worth the wait and price. And see if you can request to sit in Janoria's section, if she is working, for exceptional service for a hit or miss restaurant.

Allow me to be fair, this is an update to my original post, which was made about their curbside service, which was great, no issues there; UNFORTUNATELY, I CAN NOT say the same concerning my recent online Door Dash order on 06/21/25. I didn't receive my drink nor my cheddar biscuits with the rest of my order so I contacted this location and spoke with "Brendan, the Supervisor" who on my first call who placed me on a brief hold then came back stating "I remember your order, we gave your DDasher all of your items, you need to contact them." OK, no problem, I did that on the drink, that was handled, but just a few minutes later, when I saw my dozen biscuits weren't in my bag, I contacted the DDasher, who advised me to contact the store, which I did and "Brendan" answered again, and I identified myself along with my issue this time and he began speaking over me and refused to allow me to finish and became audibly frustrated stating "I don't know what to tell you, we provided your DDasher with all of what you ordered!" I advised again they didn't and I asked for his manager he wanted to argue and yell, and he hung up on me. I called back, he answered, identified myself again asking for his boss, he said he was the "Supervisor" I asked for his boss's boss or the owner's information, he aggressively repeated himself, as did I, he put me on hold and Jerrell Payne, came on the line identifying himself as "the Manager" I gave my side of the story and my opinion on Brendan working within his short tempered capacity with the public in the food service industry. He offered for me to come there and pick up what was missing; however, I've just had back surgery or I wouldn't have been DDashing in the first place. I spent a sizable amount of money for not a lot of food from Red Lobster ($52 to be exact), I will NEVER EAT HERE, MORE SPECIFICALLY FROM THIS LOCATION EVER AGAIN!!! With employees like this they should've gone out of business!!! He offered to email me within the next 24-48 hours a coupon for any location for my problems, and by the way, THAT HAS NOT happened and I'm NOT surprised AT ALL! THE WORST SERVICE I'VE EVER RECEIVED AND I STILL HAVEN'T RECEIVED MY $6.99 + TAX REFUND FOR MY BISCUITS, and my drink was a part of a meal so I have no idea how much that was but NO REFUND for that either! DO NOT GO TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT AT 4115 Chesapeake Square Boulevard Chesapeake, VA 23321 ESPECIALLY IF BRENDAN IS THERE!!! HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! Allow me to say that Jerrell Payne did offer to have my missing items re-delivered but they may do something to my food, so I declined that offer. Honestly. Don't go here if you want good food and service Me and a fellow crew mate went for lunch/dinner. Right off the bat. Greeted with hostility and rudeness for having gift cards that the server didn't think were real. Then had to wait 10 mins while he checked. After being seated. It was about 20 mins before we even were able to order our drinks and our server was extremely rude, coming up to us and saying, "yo. Wat you want?" After ordering drinks and starters, waited another 10 mins to get drinks and an additional 15 mins just for the started. Which was cold and congealed as I had ordered mozzarella sticks. Cold centers with sauce that was burnt. Crew mate got a pizza started. Took one bite. Didn't like it. Server didn't follow up with us for over 35 mins before taking our meal order with again asking me, "sup yo. Wat you want for foods?" Seeming impatient and irritated. Before then asking my crew mate, "so do yous know what you wants yo? Or you good" again sounding impatient. I got Alfredo and crew mate gotten lobster topped flounder. Over 45 mins after this. We finally got a refill on drinks and then our foods. Which mine was nothing but a plate of grease and undercooked Cajun chicken with tough noodles not fully cooked. Crew mate at some of his. But then after eating some of the food and discussing work. The servers throws a to go box on our table with the comment, "hey yo, here's your boxes. Enjoy" to which at that point it was decided. Nothing was going home. Despite trying to get a second refill on our drinks. It never happened. Finally when came time to pay the bill. He just asked us cash or card. And we paid. Needless to say. Horrible service. Improper attitude and unprofessional manners. Lack of checking in on guests. And just over all rude. Impatient. Obnoxious. Not caring about professionalism. Honestly. We never even knew our waiters name. But if you enjoy paying for cold food and getting talked down to like you're in the ghetto. Then by all means. Go here. Otherwise. Taco bell would be a...
