Went to this location for the first time this morning. It was around 11am and ordered two everything bagels with cream cheese and not toasted at drive-thru. I may not have asked for them not to be toasted but beside that they gave me plain bagels by mistake and from the look of them had light cream cheese. I mean, there literally had to only been a tablespoon on each which is quite minimal compared to the size of the bagel. So, I went in and requested the associate to have them fix it and told them I understood the mix up. Mind you, it wasn’t busy there at all. I was able to request the change right away. The associate asks for the manager to come over but the manager becomes quite demeaning to her and continues to delay the process of replacing my order with the bit of argument they were having with what was on the computer. About a minute later after the associate and manager had there powwow, the manager apologized about my order and had them fix it. I thanked him and asked specifically for what I wanted which was the everything bagels, NOT toasted, and made sure they had a substantial amount of cream cheese this time. No worries, right? Two or three minutes went by before my order was ready. After the associate and I chatted a bit, they called me for pick up. I had my bagels but you could feel the bag was steaming hot on the inside. They had, unfortunately, toasted them. I informed them the order was wrong for a second time and didn’t have to look in the bag to clarify. It was clearly hot. The manager went to the back, scurried them to make it over but correctly, and came back to apologize once again. The problem this time is that the cook for some reason decided to come debate with me whether I had originally ordered them from the drive-thru not to be toasted. I found this to be entirely irrelevant and was taken back by how it’s just taking forever for these bagels. Either she was trying to be certain for herself of what I ordered, or didn’t trust her manager, or didn’t believe me. I’m not sure. But geez, I’m just simply requesting for bagels to not be toasted and for them to consider taking that request into account while making these bagels. She took the bag of hot bagels I was given and enthusiastically through it in the trash clarifying her irritation. She went to the back but it seemed like the manager had my order finished and correct in the time the cook had questioned me; which was about a minute. It was for sure correct this time and I was honestly irritated but was thankful for the order being finished. The manager and associate apologized for the last time as well and was finally on my way. As you might be able to tell, it may have been just the day but it clearly didn’t seem to be an enjoyable environment. There’s clearly a lack of communication between service and costumer at this place if the manager has to be the one who finally picks up the slack. Even though the associate I was talking to seemed friendly she claimed she was new but was still quite belittling to her manager as we were chatting. Maybe it was just me but there’s a bit broader of a problem at this establishment. Seems like a lack of respect or general moral between everyone from the looks of it. Mind you again, there was nobody else in the store but myself and the staff. I didn’t notice anyone else ordering at the drive thru since you can see the window so it’s not like they were swamped or had a reasonable excuse to be so mixed up. I found the whole ordeal funny in the end since this is clearly a first-world problem. I could care less about some bagels but for those of you getting ready to order here maybe you’ll find this review to be insightful. It’s doubtful I’ll be heading there again anytime soon but hopefully they get it together in the...
Read moreWent through the drive thru and asked for a medium cold brew with mocha, cream and sugar. The women through the mic informs me that she can’t hear me several times and then says they are out of medium cups.. so I can only order a small or large size.. I asked could you make a medium size but put it in a large? She said no, because the “cup” cost more.. seeing as it is not the customers fault for their shortage of cups.. you should be able to compensate the customers request and make a medium size drink and putting it in the available size cup.. I’m not asking for anything free. I would pay for the medium drink, I don’t want a huge large amount of coffee. I get the window after a lengthy wait (only one car was in front of me the whole time) she then hasn’t even started my drink order, she has her mask around her neck.. why wear it as all if your not going to put it on your face? She starts to make my drink, put the lid on, brings it to the window to realize she forgot the Mocha sauce. Takes my lid off of the cup puts it on the counter top, stirs in mocha and puts the SAME lid Back on.. then takes her hand with the order paper balled up inside it carries the cup by the lid to me.. not Sanitary at all. I then ask her if she put the lid on the counter and back on the cup she replies “ what I do now”.. I repeat my questions . “umm nooo”. I then ask for the manager, she replies she is the manager. I said okay, I’ll contact corporate, she replied “do what you want to do.”. completely unprofessional, unacceptable in my eyes. As a manager myself, I couldn’t believe she would treat a customer with little to zero care...
Read moreUPDATING MY PREVIOUS REVIEW/ Since my review below I have gone five times to the establishment. Seems some staff were fired and some very sweet people were hired. Since my last review i have been greeted, and my drinks and food have been made great. Keep it up!
Worst Dunkin Donuts in the Tide Water area. Workers don’t give a rats @$$ about their job im confused how they haven’t been all fired. They don’t greet you, they mumble and make you repeat yourself several times just to get your order wrong completely or made terribly. I contacted Dunkin itself to try and get a refund because when i get my drinks for my wife they are always not made properly. She refuses to come to this location anymore anf would rather drop 20$ on a damn starbucks drink then get some gross tap water dirty matcha. They can’t even interpret the order and constantly put sausage on crap instead of bacon.
Now all this can sound petty right? But imagine this. If they dont care about their job at all, they don’t care if they make your food right, or your drinks, they dont greet you in the great SOUTHERN state of Virginia.
Doesnt that make you question if they wash their hands when using the bathroom and going to work? or disinfecting surfaces properly? based off just the simple crap they cant bring themselves to do. that should make you question if they follow any guidelines when it comes to health safety.
Again I contacted cooperate and nothing has changed, this place is trash and I have been a loyal Dunkin customer since I...
