Horrible customer service and bland food. We ordered take out, which is a 15 minute drive and toll each direction for us to get there. The restaurant called us as we got back home and were pulling into the driveway to inform us that they forgot to give us one of our entrees. I asked the young lady if they would comp the cost of the entree if I came back to pick it up. She checked with management and told me yes, they would do that for me. They then immediately called me back to say nevermind and I would ONLY get a refund if I did NOT come back to get the food. I explained the distance and toll I would have to pay and they didn’t care. The phone was then transferred to the manager and she refused to compensate me for their error. I again explained my situation and the amount of money I would spend on the tolls and gas, but she didn’t care and said no refund if I come get the food. She told me that I could get a refund only if I don’t come back. We used a promo code for a free appetizer if we spent over $75. The manager proceeded to tell us that our compensation is the free appetizer. We tried to explain to her that the appetizer was for the amount of money we spent there, and that it was not an appetizer of good-will for their error. She just kept arguing that we already got free food. We also explained that by the time we get the food and come back home, our food will be cold. She refused to help for their mistake and even told us that the owner was standing next to her. We asked to speak with the owner and were denied as she stated he doesn’t care. When we called her out on that as them having horrible customer service, then her claim was that he doesn’t speak English. We asked for the managers name because at this point we wanted our refund and were no longer willing to make the drive back. We wanted her name in case we did not see the refund on our card in a couple of days. The manager refused to disclose her name. They are unwilling to have accountability for their mistakes and do not take care of their customers. The green curry was bland and tasted like it was watered down- it had absolutely no flavor. They also overpacked the saucey/curry dishes and didn’t close the lids all the way so food was spilling everywhere. Absolutely horrible service. We will not be returning. I would give them 0...
Read moreI've never planned on leaving a review for anything but I feel like my experience with this restaurant needed it. I saw the 4.6 star rating and I was very excited to try it. I'm not sure if it was a bad night for the restaurant or if everyone who has eaten here has no taste buds but the food was awful. I can not speak for service or atmosphere since I had my order delivered. The smoked salmon nigiri was abhorrent. It was almost as if it was unrefridgerated for a day and then served after sitting under a heat lamp for about 30 minutes. I asked for no masago on my bed Tataki and my spicy scallop nigiri and recieved it on both. I actually was not completely disappointed with my spicy scallop nigiri. I would give it about 2 stars. Only because it delivered on the spice. However, it was so heavily covered in masago(which again I asked for none) and seaweed that I couldn't even be positive it was even scallop to begin with. My beef tataki again was requested with no masago but despite my request it was still included with the dish in a seemingly uncaring manner as it was basically plopped mostly onto one specific piece of beef almost like it was meant to be disrespectful and not complimentary to the dish at all. Last but most definitely not least I ordered a side of white rice. I am in the military and the only time I've ever seen rice prepared in this manner has been on deployment. The rice was somehow undercooked but also overcooked at the same time. I had very high hopes going into my trial of this restaurant. Read moreMiso was underwhelming and salad was gritty. Pepper tuna was mediocre but gyoza dumplings were really good. My wife ordered hibachi chicken and steak and I ordered pad thai. The hibachi chicken was decent but the steak was chewy and the rice was not good. The veggies with the hibachi were pretty good. The pad thai was not good at all. It smelled weird and was in a pool of some kind of sauce. Not like any pad thai I've ever had before. I took one bite and lost my appetite and pushed the plate to the far outside corner of the table. I told the server that I didn't like it and even asked for a menu to see about ordering something else but my appetite it would seem was long gone. She still come by a while later and asked if I wanted a box for it, so I reiterated that I did not like it at all and found it inedible. When she brought the check, the pad thai was still on the bill. At the register, we asked for the manager and the sender rushed over and asked "did you want the pad thai taken off the check? "... well yes of course I did, it was gross. It bothered me that she knew right away what the problem was and that it should come off but seemed like they were hoping I wouldn't notice and just pay without complaint.
