I Love Gelato — Restaurant in Chesapeake

Don't waste your time on this place. Seemed nice online. Placed an order for pickup, since their delivery cost was through the roof. Headed down to the store cause it woukd take exactly as long to drive there as the order would be to make. Got to the location and not only was there just a bunch of what I assume are employees sitting and standing around but the one staff member who did acknowledge me was on his phone and apparently because one of the items was not able to be made they just cancelled my order. No attempt to contact me to ask for alternates, no he sorry we are out of this do you want something else. Nope they just decided for me that the order should be cancelled. What a great place for excellent gelato and ice cream. There were 3 young men, all so pleasant and accommodating proudly serving and promoting their products. The place was clean and nicely furnished with great variety of flavors. The customer service was very welcoming. My granddaughter and I both had the Italian espresso and it was delicious!! Stumbled upon this Gelato place after eating at the restaurant next door. They've only been open for a couple weeks now. Super family friendly with so many flavor options of Gelato and sorbets. They will serve in cups or waffle cones. They have specialty cups which are essentially sundaes. I tried the Mr Peanut, and was very satisfied. Tho the plastic spoons would bend as you dig into the gelato. The store is clean and has a very comfortable dining area. Great place for a sweet treat...
