As someone who considers grocery shopping an integral part of my weekly ritual, I've been to my fair share of supermarkets. However, my recent visit to Foodlion has compelled me to pen this review, if only to commend the exceptional service and environment this store provides.

From the moment I stepped into the store, I was immediately struck by the cleanliness that greeted me. It was as if I had entered a sanctuary of sanitation, a haven of hygiene. This cleanliness extended beyond the store's aisles to the bathroom as well. In a world where public restrooms can often be a roll of the dice, Foodlion's restroom was a breath of fresh air (quite literally).

The customer service, too, was a standout experience. Both cashiers I interacted with were warm, genial, and surprisingly efficient - a rare combination in the realm of grocery retail. In particular, one cashier was so delightful and charismatic that her line was twice as long as the other. Yet, customers were more than willing to wait, myself included, just for the joy of interacting with her.

In a delightful twist, I also had the pleasure of interacting with an employee on her break. Even away from her official duties, she exuded a warm, engaging personality, which only served to reinforce my positive impression of the staff at Foodlion.

And let's not forget the deals. The sale on boneless, skinless chicken breast was, hands down, the best deal I'd seen in town this week. It was an offer that would make any poultry lover's heart cluck with joy, and was just another example of the unbeatable value this store offers.

In conclusion, my trip to Foodlion was far more than a mundane errand - it was a pleasant journey through a well-kept store, punctuated by friendly faces and topped off with great bargains. It’s proof that when a grocery store goes above and beyond in service, cleanliness, and pricing, it transforms a simple shopping trip into a truly enjoyable experience.

We are shopping The food lion store situated at 801 Volvo parkway in chesapeake Virginia 23320 since 2001 because it’s convenient to get there . It located in the south greenbrier shopping center on the intersection of Volvo parkway and greenbrier parkway and got access from progressive drive and it’s in the center of greenbrier. We buy 1-2 times a week here chicken, milk,eggs, butter, juice,cereal, cookies, frozen vegetables specialty frozen green peas, love their butter milk, the bananas are so good they last long, fruits and like cut fruit packed in small container. Daily, bakery got nice variety bought sandwiches. Ice cream we love to buy most of the items some are on sale. Nice variety of bread we bought low carb bread. I want to give a big shout of my experience at this location on 22/04/ 2025 at around 4:00PM. I want to put the date and time down hoping the staff will get some kind of recognition. This location is normally a lil out of my way but the friendly and very good service might make it worthwhile. I have been there before and it was always nice. However, today I felt really good walking out. I also work in costumer service and it is not the norm these days where tips are not a requirement and still a person gets equally nice and good service. From the young gentleman working the produce stocking the dept , to the nice lady and young gentleman in the deli working on the fried chicken making sure fresh and by the way very good chicken was put out in no time .
