We ordered our pizza at 9:37 pm because we had people over for a party and after I paid online I was then notified that it would be an hour and a half before we received it (11:07 pm). I tried calling several times when it was 11:17 pm and I still hadn't received my food but kept getting redirected to the customer service hotline (since the store wasn't answering) and they were closed. So I had no way to contact anyone because they would not answer. After an hour past we gave up and decided that it wasn't coming and that we would go up there tomorrow to get our money back and speak to a manager. Our family left at midnight, hungry. We were just about to go to sleep when we heard a knock at the door, now 1:19 am, and it's the PIZZA. We were didn't know if we should take it or not. We told the kid we had ordered it 4 1/2 hours ago is it even fresh? He said honestly, it did get cold so it's been in the hot box for a long time. We took the pizza because we were starving and had already paid for it. We tipped the driver because we don't knoe if it was his fault but when we opened the box the pizzas were burnt, dry and the sauce was warmed so long that it dried up. My husband took one bit and that was it because it was so disgusting. We spent $30 for this? Not only was it 3 hours past the time we were supposed to receive it but it wasn't even fresh pizza. We are going up there tomorrow with the pizza and demanding our money back. It was almost like a bad joke and to boot how rude was it for Pizza Hut to send someone to our house at almost 1:30 in the morning from an order that was made at 9:30. We could have been asleep. I ordered my pizza an hour before hand and it said it would be delivered in 25-35 minutes which is fine for a Friday night, understandably so it can be busy! But after waiting 45 minutes after it was due here, I called. I was patient and the female I spoke with immediately placed me on hold for what she considered a minute which was actually 5 and a half minutes. She then informed me that he was only just now on his way and it would be an extra 15 minutes. Finally after another 25 minutes, the delivery guy showed up. After I had been held up with all this bs, I decided to continue reading the reviews that I wish I read beforehand. So when he showed up, he reads me my total, doesn't apologize at all for being well over an hour and a half late. I tell him I want to check my food before I pay him because my food is so late, and he then got upset with me to where my spouse had to intervene and let him know it was due to him being outrageously late. After checking my food and making sure it wasn't freezing cold, he tried to tell me that my box looked destroyed from the weight of something else that was ordered. Which was not the case at all. Not to mention he was absolutely rude because I reduced my tip amount due to the way he treated myself, my spouse, the appearance of my food, and the fact that it was so late. Needless to say, I will NEVER order from here again. Stay away from this location. Their customer service skills are despicable, the food isn't that great, you waste your whole night waiting for your order. Read morePizza Hut located in Chesapeake, Virginia (Greenbrier) is terrible. Their management and staff need reeducation on basic customer service skills and communication. We ordered a pizza and the wait time was ridiculous. Online stated 30-40 min for this location, and our pizza arrived 2 hours later, cold!!! I called during the wait for an update and was informed by an employee that I should've never placed an online order because their system does not operate on the same schedule (as online) and it's not linked to the store in anyway; the new wait time is 70min (in addtion). She confirmed our order was complete an ready for delivery, but still in the store, so I requested to pick it up, but was informed it was to late to change. So we waited, which wasnt the problem. The pizza arrived cold, with the delivery receipt time stamp in sync with my email confirmation time stamp!!! The delivery driver was clueless about how long he had the pizza, and did not apologize or offer a solution. We returned to the store for a refund and management was not apologetic at all, just staring and repeatedly stating it's going to take 5 to 7 business days for a refund. Nothing along the lines of since you are hear let me make a new ordered for you, or my apologies for the inconvenience.
