Woody's Raw Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Chesapeake

So went in for a going away event for a coworker. So to paint you a picture... I was directly under a camera. In plain view. Also sign states if not vaccinated you must wear a mask... but to paint a picture I'm sitting in a chair by myself. I order first drink and start to get goosebumps. My guess is it around 68 degrees inside building. Well order first drink. Then walk to car to get hooded sweatshirt. I put on a nd put on hood. After about a hour I'm told I need to remove my hood. Its policy. Its policy because camera cant see my face. This is what i was told. Now mind you I'm under a camera pointed directly at my face, which I didnt notice till after the incident. But was told to remove hood because of policy. So I removed it, then asked why? Was told because cameras cant see my face. When under discussion I stated i would give my drivers license and any info they needed, it was really cold and I wanted to be comfortable, but was shoved off. Now people I was with started asking what was going on. Now another female with out group took my sweatshirt and put it on and put on hood. Nothing said. Same person who asked me to remove walked by and nothing. From there I asked what was the difference and rudely told it was policy either pay and leave or just leave. But after first conversation I paid my tab. Mind you only $30 where I tipped 10$ but moral of this is you lost alot of money for being this way. I would have stayed and spent money if was allowed to be comfortable. I get the reason but for a female to do exactly as I was and not a word spoke i left. This is a business that has more than one location. One which is within 2 miles of my residence. From now on I will no longer visit any of the...

What a treat! I was in Chesapeake doing a job and touched base with a couple of old friends. I wanted to go grab a bite, they suggested Woody's Bar & Grill. I don't drink so I was a bit suspicious of what I was in for, it's a bar, how good can the food be? I should've known better after eating at The Sports Page in Midlothian, several times, but that's another review. Oh yeah! Pretty danged good as it turns out! Plus, we sat outside, a little intense on the fly front, not their fault, but it was so relaxing overlooking the water, watching the fish in the creek, the heron and ospreys trying to catch the fish in the creek, hey, it was dinnertime after all, dinner with a show as it turns out. All of nature's children came for a bite to eat. The traffic from Chesapeake Boulevard just kinda disappeared way, wayyyy into the background, between the influence of the casual, nature reinforced ambiance and the really good food, not really good bar food, just really good food that would stack up to any good restaurant food. The steamed shrimp, to me, danged near perfect. The mussels were a little too steamed for me, not much though, the little necks rocked! The sashimi grade tuna was almost perfect, a little dryer than I like it but still really good. I had the Wings also, it was their hot hickory smoked version, they claimed it was really hot..... but I tend to be a bit masochistic in the spicy hot foods world. Scorpion Pepper and Smokin Ed's Carolina Reaper kinda pain. Not to his level of heat, still, a far cry above what the average person will submit themselves to. Great flavor though, with a really good cook!

I fell through a fence that wasn't secured properly. my back hurt very much the next day. they were supposed to call for insurance purposes they never did. they had a regular customer contact me that I know personally Instead letting me know i was banned for smoking weed in the outside area. there were several other regulars there that smoked with me and smoke there often that were not banned from Woody's. I think they banned us due to a potential law suit. they put I sign up after letting people know not to lean on the fence. after letting us know that this has happened many times before. due to fights that initially broke the fence and then other people falling through like I did. I fell backwards cause my girlfriend leaned me into the fence she was also banned. (She doesn't smoke and didn't smoke) the night it happened they took are Information and gave us two free drinks. saying they would contact us for insurance purposes. they didn't ID till we finished are drinks and only when asking for info. I'm dispointed but nothing much more. I'm hoping someone makes a bigger deal out of this than I am. (go ahead internet trolls...
