McDonald's — Restaurant in Cheshire

This review was originally going to go a completely different way, but thanks to the amazing customer service, I'm giving this McDonald's 5 stars.

Here's what happened: I ordered my meal on the McDonald's app, got to McDonald's at 4:30, and checked in. I usually have to wait a few minutes, but this time, I sat there for over 30 minutes waiting for my food. I finally decided to call the restaurant, and a woman answered the phone. When I told her that I had been there for over 30 minutes, she gasped in shock. She asked me if my order was just a diet coke, because that's what was on the app (she thought someone had already brought it out to me). I told her my order (medium double quarter pounder meal and a 10 piece chicken nugget). She said that she would be out with my order shortly, and would refund me. Now that already changed my mind about this review, but what happened next was mind-blowing. She came out with my order, and a full cash refund, but I noticed the size of the soda was a little big to be a medium. When I got home, and took the food out of my bag, I was right. She upgraded my order to a large. It only gets better from here. Along with my upgraded order, she included 2 apple pies for free. Remember, she also refunded me for my original order.

I am beyond impressed with the customer service I received. I wasn't upset with the people who work there, I was pissed off at whoever created a half-assed buggy app, but that has nothing to do with the incredible people who work at McDonald's, so 5 stars all around.

They might mess up an order here or there, but to have the incredible customer service that they have makes up for everything, and then...

Pulled in on a snow day to find their parking lot wasn't shoveled or plowed couldn't park into handicap parking area that too wasn't shoveled so I managed to park while exiting my vehicle an employee was shoveling the walk way in front of entrance and exit then went inside. After pulling my walker out the vehicle struggling through an un shoveled parking lot I pulled on the door it was locked infact all the doors were locked so I ask myself then why shovel outside the doors this is what led me to believe i could dine in this was a horrible experience trying to dine in get some coffee and a hot meal. Drive through was open but so upset after tracking to the unfortunate locked doors I decided not to order from this McDonald's because it felt very untrustworthy after all that I've been through just trying to warm up to a hot lunch. I will be calling the district manager ! Before leaving I stopped by the drive thru to ask why is the dining area closed the response was yelled if the district manager wants the dining room open tell him he can come here and open it up himself that was it so I pulled up to drive thru window to ask for the managers name two employees hid as fast as they can from view at this point honestly I don't know who would ever eat here after this huge disappointment in staff...

This particular McDonald's is awful. Awful. I eat here all the time, out of convenience and every single damn time I ask myself why I came back. If you go through the drive thru it's even worse if that's possible. Guaranteed to sit in line for ten minutes minimum, even though there's only three cars in front of you. You finally pay and think that when you make it to the next window you'll finally get your food... Nope! "Would you mind pulling into one of our take out spots, your food will ready in a couple minutes and we'll bring it right out to you"... Sure. I'll wait some more. Food comes out. I ordered a sausage egg and cheese mcgriddles, why the hell am I starring at a Bacon egg and cheese on a English muffin??? Now do I go back in and start this whole process over? Holy God, it NEVER ends with the place. Cheshire McDonald's is a friggin mess. Good luck. Your rollin the dice everytime you go here.
