I have driven past Roysters for years now and finally stopped by.

So good!
Located right off Route 10 in Cheshire. Plenty of parking.
Go early! I stopped by around 5PM and they were out of brisket. Called another day and were out that day too: lesson learned for the future. :))
Tuesdays - they have burnt ends.
The entire restaurant is filled with delicious BBQ smellâŚ. Ohhhh! So good!
I was greeted so warmly by the owner Brian. We chatted a little and I could feel the love and care going into the food!
All the food is made on site- the smoker is right next to the kitchen. Everything is smoked 15 to 18 hours. Brian grew up in St Louis and his food is legit St Louis BBQ with its influence from his familyâs Wyoming roots in the sides. The recipes for the sides are a hundred years old. The BBQ is outstanding. Brian has 3 sauces- traditional, North Carolina (vinegar based), and honey mustard. The sauces are full of flavor. And Brian is generous with his pours. He wants you to try them all. All the sauces are made in house.
We tried pulled pork, burnt ends, Mac and cheese, baked beans and corn bread.
The baked beans - outstanding - sweet at first taste but then the pepper hits the back of your throat just right. The beans are creamy and the entire dish is full of flavor.
Mac and cheese - shells and cheese, not greasy but creamy and again flavorful.
The burnt ends- our first time trying them and we will definitely be going backâŚ.. meat candy for sure!
Everything Brian cooked was clearly from his heart - this is legit BBQ. And we should be so proud to have it right here in Connecticut. Like all good BBQ- it has the chefâs signature touch to make it special and inimitable. Highly recommend!

Read moreWent with my wife ordered 1 beef rib, 2 slices of brisket, an order of pulled pork, the larger container of baked beans, a small container of coleslaw and small Mac + cheese, and we shared a soda. First off the food was good, no complaints on the food or the service, owner and wife were very nice, friendly and talkative, joking and having fun! My only thing was there was only a small bar type seating for 4 on the wall, and 2 picnic tables outside. The bill came to $85.00, I thought that was a bit expensive for basicly a takeout meal. I've paid $85.00 for nice sit down meals with my wife, but thats at a fancy for me restaurant. To sum it up, we loved ithe food, but didn't love the price. As it's getting more and more expensive to go out and not spend a fortune, as it's getting harder to run a buisness and make a profit. I get it, but my wallet can't take the abuse, lol! Not being a complainer, but just know if your going here, it's gonna cost you, but if your willing to spend the money you will...
Read moreWe are frequent fliers at Roysterâs and are HUGE FANS!! We got married yesterday and had Roysters cater our small 20 person wedding with a full try of brisket, and half a tray each of the pulled pork and pulled chicken with their bbq sauce and honey mustard to spoon on. Everything was incredible from the friendliest people, especially Brian, our favorite ever food friend, to arranging, pick up, and the taste and presentation of everything! You should have seen how much of everything we got in these trays, the portions were generous, juicy, flavorful, and literally smoked to absolute perfection- youâve never had anything like it, I promise you. I just called the shop to tell Brian how grateful we are for this blessing of food he shares with the world and I wanted to come on here to tell everyone else too because they deserve so much recognition for what they do and how they do it. Nicest people, out of this world service and food!! We...
