Definitely the best bagels in the area! :)

I have driven by so many times and not stopped. We finally did and we are so glad we did!

Cash only. ATM inside. Closed on Mondays. You order at the case and then line up to pay. Plenty of parking and at a light so easy to make a left onto Whitney. :)

A nice assortment of bagels- some cool ones: egg, spinach.

We tried the Everything with scallion toasted. It was excellent. The bagel had large salt crystals and definitely enhanced the flavor. At first glance, bagel may appear smaller than others but these are quite tall. And definitely very filling.

We have also tried the onion with veggie- very good.

Service is excellent: everyone is polite and friendly. The teenagers working the counter are courteous and efficient: very refreshing. The owner is very pleasant.

We have enjoyed our bagels very much! And will be back to try some of the sandwiches. :)...

A new coffee shop near my house carries Shef’s bagels and they are quite good, so we decided we would go directly to the source one day. That day was yesterday (Sunday). We drove straight to Shef’s after church and arrived around noon, and they were CLOSED. I had Googled their hours the day before and knew they should still be open. According to the sign posted on their front window and the hours posted online, they are supposed to close at 2 pm on Sundays. Not sure if they ran out of bagels or what, but if your business is selling bagels and you know you typically sell out on weekends, seems like you should make sure you have enough supply for the whole day (which is 7 hours on Sunday.) I could see if we arrived at 1:30 and they were running low/ran out, but two hours before your posted closing time? Disappointed by the wasted trip, we turned around and went to Whitney...

I have seen a line outside every morning so I decided I need to try it for myself. My girlfriend and I both had bagels. I had a blueberry, she had a french toast - both with strawberry cream cheese.

I don't know what the hype is about.

The bagel texture was excellent, but the lack of flavor was very disappointing. When I say "lack of flavor", I mean the bagels had zero flavor, aside from the onion that had somehow tainted the french toast bagel. The cream cheese was lack luster, and there wasn't very much of it. I could taste the strawberry every so slightly which made swallowing the food possible without thinking about that I was eating soft and tender cardboard.

I will not be returning to Shef's unless they find the salt and...

It’s a locals place. Only bagel shop for the area unless you want grocery store bagels, so I understand the following and the raving reviews. However if you’ve had bagels in shops in larger cities, I wouldn’t be impressed. They run out of bagels every day, but that doesn’t mean it’s because they’re amazing. It’s a sandwich shop so fresh bagels is better than sandwich bread. To me, the bagel I had was just average. I came by three times to try it and was quite disappointed at how ordinary the bagel was. It’s not bad but not worth a drive to seek it out. There’s another bagel shop that I think is a tad better but then again, I don’t think this area of the country is known for their bagels. However, the staff is super friendly and helpful.

I LOVE THIS PLACE. My "go to" Sunday morning breakfast is a Bacon, Egg, and Cheese in a toast whole wheat everything. I usually add raw onion because it makes it even better in my opinion, but it doesn't need it to be amazing. Honestly the bagels here are perfect so just a bit of butter does the job, no need to go crazy.

The freshest bagels around and the friendliest employees greet you. The establishment is spotless and a clean restroom prevails. The boss usually is on the premise to make sure that the customers are satisfied. I came here just before going fishing and we be a regular now! What a great experience .
