Scooter's Coffee — Restaurant in Chesterfield

This morning I stopped in to get a latte because my normal spot was out of oatmilk. I ordered a iced, oatmilk, caramel latte and then was asked what size I would like. When I got to the window and paid my $6.85 was handed a hot drink that felt small. The hot was not a deal breaker for me so I chose not to say anything but as I pulled away I looked at the bottom of the cup and it was showing that it was a 12oz cup. The idea of a cup of coffee being almost $7 is already frustrating to me and having to pay an extra $1 for a Cow's milk substitute already rubs me the wrong way because I am ordering it based on a dietary allergy and the cost of Oat milk is really very similar to cow's milk. I circled back and let the barista know that I had ordered a 16oz not a 12oz and she entered it into to computer again and said that I was only charged for the 12oz and it was almost seven dollars because I got oat milk. The lack of active listing and accurate order entry is really the main issue for me here and paying $6.85 for a cup of coffee expecting one thing and getting another is very disappointing. I waited in line for 10 minutes to place an order for a coffee and breakfast sandwich at your drive-through, only to be told that you cannot accept cash bills over $20. I had a $50 bill, which should not be an issue at a business in a high-end area.

If Scooters is going to open in affluent parts of St. Louis County, it’s imperative that you update your outdated cash policy. This is beyond frustrating! I went to the nearby Dunkin' Donuts and they accepted my cash without hesitation.

I wanted to like this place. I really did.
