😵 Ugh!!! Spinelli's surely put a SPIN in my family's day! While visiting the area on 8/12/2021, my family decidedly chose to venture to eat at Spinelli's Pizzeria & Italian Grill based off our Google search and the specials posted on the venues website (see photos). Upon arrival, we sat at a booth and eventually received menus and gave our drink order. We perused the in-house menu while kindly waiting for the waitress to return with our drinks. Having already decided on the 2 large pizzas for $22.99 special that was advertised on the Spinelli's Pizzeria & Italian Grill website, I showed the waitress the website posting of this pizza 🍕 special which informs of it being available for take-out and dine-in and I said we were ordering it. The waitress told me that pizza 🍕 special was only available for take-out. Sensing her adamancy with the situation, I decidedly said, "That's fine, we'll just get it to go." Also, SADLY following this DISAPPOINTMENT 😲 the restaurant would not honor the price listed online so I had to pay more. 👎👎👎 Other venues would not have been so decisively correct and would have allowed dine-in with the pizza 🍕 special as well as given the lower cost to the patron in lieu of the venue's posted online price errors and misinformation . Spinelli's made sure this misfortune did a SPIN for their benefit! ...and made my family SPIN right around and out the door 😣 Update: following yesterday's fiasco, I see Spinelli's updated the online post for 'take-out only,' but the pizza special price is still $22.99 (see photo) and no attempt to reach out to my family in any way 🤔 Update update: finally updated the online post for the pizza special price to $23.99 (see photo), but still no attempt to reach out to my family in any way 🤔 ...Sooo -not so- glad my review wasn't a waste tho & could help alert the owners of corrections needed for their website. What does this say to you about this establishment's owners???

Not a bad slice in Brodheadsville, PA. While out this way I could grab a slice here and be content. I've had the wings here also and they were pretty good. With that said, I wouldn't put in any effort to get here. I'm not planning a meal to come meet people here or anything. Personal preference for most of this, but I like a pie to have a char to it, especially when boasting a brick oven. This had a pretty pale bottom to it and not much snap. A little crunch to the crust I just personally prefer more. The cheese and sauce tasted solid, it wasn't bad by any means, it just wasn't remarkable. In a month I won't remember what this slice tasted like. If you like your pie cooked like this then you may love this place. Not trying to knock them down or anything, it's just not what I prefer. If i'm ever back i'll ask for it well done.

First the positive. The portion sizes were more than enough, the food was cooked well (chicken was juicy, eggplant tender), and plating was gorgeous. It made us want to dig in. However, the seasoning and flavor of the dishes (we had a party of 5 and they all agreed) were subpar. Our enthusiasm after eating the dishes went down to a "ehh 🤷🏽‍♀️". When we went into the women's restroom, there appeared to be white mold on the toilet handle. The service itself though was very good, polite, and our food came decently fast. It seems like this place is trying to be a sports bar, pizzeria, and restaurant all in one and the best i can describe it as is a jack of all trades; good at many, master at none.

Feel like I wasted my money…

We had the grand kids over the weekend and decided to spend an evening out at Spinellis. We sat in a booth and ordered something for each of us along with a pizza, which we wanted just a slice for one of the kids, and the rest to bring home with us. The amount ordered filled the table with no room for the pizza, so the waitress placed the pizza on the “shelf-height” wall that was between us and a booth on the other side that no one was sitting in. After a while, another waitress came over and told us the we could not leave the pizza where it was, and that we needed to place it on our table. I pointed out that the table was really full already, and asked if she could put the pizza above the ovens while we enjoyed our meal. She told us no, that was not possible because I would forget to bring my pizza home. I suggested placing the pizza on an empty table next to us, which no one was using (there were plenty of other empty tables), and she said no to that as well. “We need that for other customers”, she said. At that point I felt I was out of options and quite frustrated with her. I then asked if I could put it on the floor, and she agreed to do that, but only if it was under our table. I felt that I had no choice and told her ok, and she seemed to plop the pizza down with some attitude. Needless to say, I was quite upset at this point, and went back to ask to speak with Mr Spinellis. He had left for the night, but his daughter came out and spoke with me. She followed me over to the table, immediately recognized our table was full, and did take on the offer of placing the pizza over the oven while we ate. In the end, we finished our quite unenjoyable meal, collected our pizza and went home. It was a very disappointing experience.

Update:

Rules should be communicated to customers prior to ordering. I would not have ordered the extra pizza if I knew.

I wanted to speak to the owner, but have zero problem speaking to a woman. Not sure where this comes from.

Rethinking this, you did do a good job, I wish you had come over sooner. I've updated rating appropriately.

Our waitress was tipped very well regardless of the issues, and we let her know she did well. I stand behind my review of the other waitress.

You restaurant has some good people and good food. Communication up front (at time of order) would...

My family and I went into Spinelli's Pizza in Brodheadsville tonight like we do on occasion because it is a local Pizza place with good food. Tonights visit was a complete 180 turn on the customer service side. We went in and were seated and started ordering our food. It's ironic because I even said to my family "Oh there must not be any specials tonight" because there were no signs and the waitress didn't say anything, but I will get to why this is relevant later. We ordered our food and it was served in an average ammount of time. The only issue that arose at this point was that my mom ordered no olives on her food which the waitress repeated when she took the order. When we brought this up to the waitress she took no accountability and said oh it doesnt come with olives so I just added them. This was no biggie. My mom just picked them off, and we continued eating. Then after we were done with our food I had three wings left of the six that I ordered. I asked for a box for the wings and the waitress says sure and walks to the back. She then comes back and says that we cant get a box because there was a wing special tonight. When we stated that we had no clue there was a special and we had already paid for the food. She very rudely stated that she doesnt make the rules, threw her hands up in the air and proceded to hide in the back of the store. Honestly, as someone who works in customer service, I couldn't even believe that thats how she reacted. Not only did she not take accountability for any of her mistakes, she also didnt even offer to get us a manger or apologize. Its also crazy to me that they would act like that over 3 wings. Its not like I ordered 50, ate 5, and wanted to take 45 home. I hope they can learn from their mistakes because their cooks do a good job and the waitresses are going to chase the customers out. It's unfortunate that I cannot remember the waitresses name because she will still continue to have zero accountability for...
